PlayStation's conference today

Lozmaster Wrote:Especially when someone mentions pc gaming as an adequate replacement. Realistically, you're going to have to replace a gaming pc more often than a console, AND pay more for it. Lord knows I have had to!

I've had my laptop for three years and it still runs perfectly.
Then again, I'm content with games that aren't too hard on the graphics (limbo, castle crashers, maple, random roms and other MMOs, etc).

However, keep in mind that people can do a lot more on a computer than on a console; therefore I don't really think you can compare price unless you want to compare capabilities, as well.

That prototype controller turned out to be the real deal.

And the first game they showed off looked just as good as a high-budget Pixar movie running in real time.

EDIT: These people are really bringing their A-game. I have more hope for this thing than the PS3.

Well, I'm bored of this conference now. Seems to be just a bunch of repeating themselves and "we're social now, guys"

 Also this terrified me

Decide to tune in in the middle. First thing I hear is social gaming...

PS4 is now Facebook? Tongue

But really, I missed the stream apparently. How did the conference go? I'm seeing a lot of negative press out of Twitter...

Still going on. They're doing game previews/trailers now. Just had a new Killzone trailer. Racing game now.

At the very end of the KillZone video, it seems they just wanted to show off "HEY GUYS, LOOK, WE'RE SHARING THIS VIDEO RIGHT NOW."

I kinda hoped Sony would have learnt from Nintendo Directs on how to do a good online presentation. Oh well, I'm bored of this and officially out now.

I'm feeling really bad for Wii U right about now. If this launches anywhere near the Wii U's price point, its going to absolutely demolish it. If it wern't for Mario and the other Nintendo staple franchises, that is. But Wii U isn't doing so hot right now in general, and this announcement makes its already outdated hardware look even more... not so great.

Rumours are that it'll be priced around 400-450$.

edit: Watchdogs looking great as always, though I feel like it'll work best with Wii U as long as Ubisoft doesn't drop the ball on features.

Well, I don't know what console to buy now. Guess it's more money for my 3DS (I already have an XL one but I'll buy a lot of games more that I was skipping like Layton vs Wright and MH3G (I was getting the Wii U version)).

Bluh, it's only Diablo 3. I was hoping for something exciting, like a Titan announcement or something.

Well Destiny looks cool. Too bad it just screams Halo at me.

What the hell is a "shared world shooter?"
