It was an exploit plain and simple. People who abused it dramatically are going to be lucky if they come out of it without some sort of ban. This was a gross abuse of game mechanics. You were never intended to be able to pick up a dozen slot expansions along with Innocence 20's and slates up the waz in a single day...

I hope they fix class battle too but it's not going to happen.

People never got banned for abusing the free NX clothing exploit last year. I don't see the same happening for this.

I wouldn't even have known about the exploit if I wasn't Azwaning. Perhaps they ought to fix up that problem, y'know, the one they said they fixed but never did.

I think it's safe to say nexon is sporadic at best with how and why they ban/punish.

Obviously. This isn't the first issue that Nexon has run into involving forfeiting quests though.

The absolute funniest thing is, nobody wants the pendant of the spirit. if they just took that part away and made it so that the first quest disappeared the first time you do it for a day (like they do with the New Years wishes quest released in the same patch), then this event would not be exploitable at all.

I agree. They only just gave out a month-long pendant in a recent Hot Time, seems weird that we're getting one a day from this event.

What will be unavailable:

• All MapleStory game servers.
  

Changes and Updates:

• Friendship Points will no longer be incorrectly deducted when purchasing totems in Red Leaf High.
  
• Fixes will be applied to Tot's Know-How for Phantom.
  
• Chocolates will drop for the corresponding Valentine quest.
  
• The Re-buy option will work correctly for Nack in Ardentmill, for items that are normally available to repurchase.
  

I agree, this was an exploit. That being said how do you tell the difference between someone doing this 6 times and someone who can't stay on for more than 45 minutes? I know there have been days where I DC almost hourly.

You can call me mean spirited, but any exploitation I do of this event is basically collecting compensation for them autobanning me for 30 days while I was just lagging.

I wouldn't call that mean spirited. A bit entitled maybe. Yes you were falsely banned. Yes you deserve compensation. But it's not a free pass to exploit something because you believe that to be fair.

Yes dozens. Several people in my alliance and on my Blist had been farming it every 30 minutes since it was discovered yesterday.

And it wasn't patched lol. -_- People still doing it.
