For those not already aware, it was announced that the Highschool of the Dead manga is going to resume. In the latest issue of Dragon Age (the magazine it's in), it was further specified it's coming back "Spring 2013". Really hoping it comes back next month, and that I'll be able to work with Scans of the Dead on it.

This is one of my favorite mangas period. I know it's not exactly the best manga out there, and its progression has never been really fast, but since I first read it, I can never get enough of it. Especially Kotone.
Latest Chapter
I'm glad they finally added a new character, but if the new girl results in a love triangle with Yuuto, I'm gonna flip my table. I'm really hoping it just results in Kotone and Yuuto getting together. Though jealous Kotone is certainly cute.

After the Goddess arc, the current arc really does pale in comparison. I loved everything up to the end of the Goddess Arc, but I just haven't been able to get into it as much since it ended. Needs to get back to the girls

Just a note on its releases. The problem with the release schedule for a time was because the leader of Manga Heaven (the original group doing it) went MIA. Maigo picked it up last month though, and will probably catch up to it, they're fairly decent on speed.

I too am quite surprised I still read this. I didn't start reading it from chapter one, but I did start fairly early and at this point it just seems wrong to stop reading it. It really does need to end though, I enjoy Seo's other manga Princess Lucia far more and it's serialized bi-monthly.

I personally can't see the plot ever really progressing much, if at all. I too quite like the manga but it's far too much of an ecchi rom-com to really take a plot too seriously. There'll probably be a few chapters here and there, assuming it lasts long enough, to add something into a story, but yeah.
The plot WILL eventually pick up, but this is Okayado's first serialized piece of work so i imagine that he's being forced to go for what sells currently, AKA ecchi harem rom-com, and the first tankobon sold amazingly well over the span of just 2 months. The last chapter, as i said, most likely just worked on introducing some side-characters, the series is not even a year old yet. Odds are that over the span of the next year he'll finish up introducing characters/giving them special chapters that focus on them(Like Miia's shedding chapter HNGGGGGGG) the plot, will pick up i imagine. The plot after all is that he has to eventually pick one to marry/couple it up with. Also Okayado is a total bro, he is all about healthy loving relationships, i can't imagine him dragging it on forever with no real progression(It just doesn't fit into what he's been known to make prior to Monster musume), so i'm hoping it picks up soon, but yea, it's a slow start.
I wish it would've just been all about Darling and Miia being lovey dovey, that'd have been the best for me, but i am enjoying it a lot regardless.

Monster Musume
I just can't see a real plot picking up. I've never once read an ecchi rom-com like Monster Musume that didn't pick up on the plot full time until it got closer to its end. There will be chapters that do progress it somewhat, even chapters that are devoted entirely, assuming it doesn't get the axe soon, but series like it are almost never very heavy in plot.
Also, it's not the mangaka's first serialization. He had a serialization in 2010 that didn't last long, just got to one volume.
It depends on where you order the stuff from. Your options are typically either paying a lot to get it quickly or not paying a lot and waiting weeks to months. Though I suppose it might be a bit different where you live, as you're not in the US. I order the magazines I get off of Amazon JP (for getting them asap) and it costs me around $60 just for 2 magazines. There are cheaper alternatives but the time it takes is a bit much, and as a scanlator, I'm a bit impatient when it comes to new chapters.
Damn... I didn't see this coming at all. It... sucks. It's cool Dan and Novik are alive and will most likely stick to Koon, but I thought the runner guy was a main character aswell. At least he let us all know what really happened before Rachel killed him like the psycho she is. Now I trully can't wait for the next chapter because I've got no idea what will happen.
I get the feeling Baam will leave to keep his friends from harm and Koon will join Wangnan for the Factory round.

I am disappoint that the chapter cover was did not indicate what was actually in the chapter. Really hoping there are more of these bangaihen, because this was just more of before, and not really adding onto the ending. Still a nice chapter, but not what I would expect from a special chapter like this.

Very cute chapter. The series really isn't following the normal cliches when it comes to shounen romance manga like I thought it would. Expected dozens of chapters of nothing but misunderstandings between the two of them before finally getting together. While they certainly haven't progressed much, it definitely looks like it won't go in that direction and they might get together sooner, without several pointless dragged out misunderstandings.
Yes neither of them have been scanlated yet, but I got the raws for Midara's Bangaihen last night, and I just PRed Nisekoi.
Well, this is bad. Things were beginning to look like they were picking up and then it turns out that Lyner and Berthold are also like Annie, plus they have Ymir right now. Given that Ymir might have a lot of answers and she's in no condition to fight it remains to be seen if Eren plus everyone else can take them down before they can either run away with Ymir or kill her, but the latter's unlikely since she appears to be a key figure of some sort.
The lack of a breach is also not a good thing. If Titans have really learned more advanced strategies the odds are going to be stacked up against humans and then some.
Well that was a very casual way to reveal something like that, what the hell, also Eren finally manning up, about time. Every chapter leaves me with more questions than answers though.

Well, this chapter sure progressed as much as Bleach lastest chapter (which is none), but I'm glad Lonewolf is getting into why Shioon shows some glances of awareness while gone berserk. We will know if he's advanced into controling the BOT before the fight is over, I just hope it doesn't turn into "he's actually made it worse" or something. I have a hunch Lonewolf will teach Shioon in the future

I was considering checking that manga out, but there are a ton of chapters I'd need to catch up on. If each individual chapter isn't all that long, would you recommend I read it? Also, do the characters end up becoming less likable as time goes on like in Seo's other manga, Suzuka?

Unfortunately, it only really gets worse as it goes along. There is a bit in the middle of the series that's just completely ugh, and then it gets somewhat better, but overall I can't say I would really recommend it. At the moment it's just very needlessly dragging on. Biggest reason I'm still reading it is just for the sake of finishing it.
I can think of dozens of romance manga that are much better than it, ongoing/complete and weekly/monthly.

Two chapters back to back with absolutely massive hnnnnnng inducing spreads. Working on the manga for this series has really just made me absolutely love the series. I really liked the anime when it aired, and the manga is just adding onto it with every chapter.
Oh Rachel. Just gotta love her sometimes. The art looks a little off this chapter. And I can't recognize half of Leesoo's team. Is that the red winged guy? No idea who the other two are.
Oh boy, Shioon got pierced a hole through his body. I know this is shonen and Shioon being the main character, je wont die, but will his Ki center stay alive? what will happen to the Sunwoo clan? what will the murim do? what will the normal goverment do? what will shioon do when he realizes elder kwon died because of his plan? So many questions, no answers. At least we know they are coming because this arc is almost over
