I actually like this.
It means people won't be able to leech their way to max level anymore, and that they will actually have to put in some time and effort. I am so sick and tired of seeing people join a party just so they can hang on a rope and do nothing at all. Lazy f'uckers don't deserve to be max level. I can go back to the old days of spending 6-8+ hours a day grinding with friends and guildies only to gain a little over a level if I'm lucky. Good times.

Totally agree with Green. I had fun when LHC first came out and people were grinding like 8 hours a day+ for a few levels. Maybe Nexon will be nice and release another LHC/KSH type map that's a higher level (200+, anyone?) that requires active participation ^_^

What if they already hit 200 on a character the regular way (training, bossing, quests) and just want to get others to 200 for, mayhaps a medal or card deck and find it easier to just leech those characters that will be forgotten thereafter? And I think we're all lazy if we can sit down at our computer for more than six hours training when we could be doing something that requires more muscular activity. I don't see the rewards from 200-250 being much useful. Perhaps more HP I suppose? Even so there's still a plethora of unused skill points by then. There's got to be more to this than just a raised level cap. EDIT: I just remembered an old joke, if anyone back then remembers when leechers should have had a skill called "summon rope." Oh maple drama.

at this rate, the only legitamate training will be training where exp is dependent at your level(RLH, PQ's to some extent, Fixed leveling potions) unless they spew out new areas

Just make a really broken evolving system map with 2m exp mobs to grind on or something if you need a place to grind.

I actually like grinding. Party-play with friends, chat up in Skype while attacking, see exp bar go from zero to hero...

If RLH wont be nerfed, then with these numbers it just got so much more broken.

I think many of you will be sorely disappointed. Gone are the days where the average mapler would train for hours for a level. The community is not the same. If you have dedicated friends that will train with you for hours it may resemble pre-BB and still be fun. But im afraid the lv250 cap probably will not get rid of leechers or training bots. Im sure a large amount of people will still attempt to leech to 250, and you have to remember the large influx of hackers over the years (look at LHC). Even if there is a party play zone, it still wont be easy (and it wouldnt really resemble pre-BB would it?). Im not really looking forward to training as much as possible new areas. I hope the lv250 rewards are better than the lv200 ones, and they really need to do something with the extra ~200 SP most classes would have at 250 (a 5th job). I wonder how it would affect hyper skills too, with an extra 5 possible levels of sp. Anyone think they will remove the 999 AP cap? otherwise characters are going to have over 260 SP in secondary stats.

There's no reason for that. If you can't voice your opinion without sounding like a bigot then take it elsewhere. And there isn't a damn person on this planet that is forcing you to play maplestory. If you don't like the update when it hits, then stop playing. Why do you NEED to be capped? This is obviously meant to be a long term goal. Not one you can hit in a 20 hour period. You could just as easily put in one, two, or three hours a day 3 times a week and you'd eventually hit the level cap if you were serious about it.

I liked Maple for having a near-unattainable level cap. There's nothing wrong with the 'average mapler' quitting grinding before they cap, as long as the game has things to do at lower levels (which it does).

This is pretty much what a lot of my guildies and I are excited for. I'm hoping that a high leveled community reminiscent of the "old days" will form again (of course, infiltrated by hackers, which causes drama! ) and there's more server-wide interaction rather than guild/alliance-wide only, as it is now.

In GMS exp for 199-200 is about 1.1B if I recall, and the table has 2.2B for 200-201.
Does the exp TNL really double in one level, or did KMS never reduce exp tables like GMS, and it is still around 2B for 199-200?
