I finished my last day of Insanity Friday. I've been exercising at a gym for 4 years, and I started dumb bell exercises back in March 2012, but Insanity has by far been the most intensive workout I've done in my life.
My workout partner and I are taking a week break. School starts tomorrow...and I return to work tomorrow as well, so I just don't want to start anything new just yet. After that though, we're going to do Insanity: The Asylum. Not looking forward to it :V

So many people in my gym..
I hope it clears out soon.
My friend is a NYR, and I helped him getting started with cardio and fullbody excersizes.
Barely got to do anything, only squerzed in a few deadlifts and facepulls.
I started my cut yesterday, and I am waiting for breakfast to start.
Loading myself with eggs, oats and milk.

Switched things up today; did squats first rather than last.
I'm also going to try to incorporate yoga into my routine somehow, or at least some form of flexibility training when I can't do yoga. I've also never really done yoga before.

I've been a vegetarian for nine years so I have a problem with maintaining a healthy weight and not falling under. I've been keeping up 140 lbs. (I'm 6'0" 1/2) by eating a lot of complete proteins (tonight's dinner was risotto with whole-grain Maratelli rice, mustard greens, roasted grapes, feta, and tarragon) as well as ingesting lots of peanut butter.

His list includes feta, which is cheese (unless he means a soy-based substitute).

That is why I asked, to determine what kind of diet to give him.
I would suggest GOMAD and compound lifts, but I need to know what he has available.

I did Insanity and I don't know how many months it's been.
It was hard.

Can you provide the routine?
Might give it a shot.

I'll give you the info later as I'm in the middle of a workout right now.
Have you guys heard of Fitocracy? It's sort of a social fitness tracker with RPG elements; I'll explain more later. They recently came out with an Android app which is why I'm using it again.
EDIT:
Imitazion: There's no easy way to describe Insanity through a forum post, however this blog post and other posts by the same author on the other DVDs in the program outline the exercises pretty well. The actual DVDs provide the cues and everything else, and unlike other home programs like P90X it's actually kind of hard to do Insanity on your own since you have to time yourself without any audio cues.

okay, I was supposed to have leg day today.
I do my warm-up, and I get to the squat rack.
I find a, surprisingly, swole guy doing ez curls in it. I ask him if I could work in between sets, as he didn't use the long bar.
to my surprise, he told me he was supersetting. I go do tip-toes in the smith instead, but I keep an eye on the guy.
he spread out a mattress and started doing sit ups.
sit ups.
sit ups.
I go ask him how many sets he has left, and he responds with "dno m8, I'm goin XxF"(undefined sets, reps until failure)
I was read to slap his pomegranate and was ready to tell him to go to the god damn area designed for that, but instead, I went over and started a back/rear delt day.
I'm not bothered by the change of routine, I'm bothered by his laziness. he didn't even unload the bar, that he left in the squatting rack.
ughhhhhhh.

ughhhhhhh. pomegranate seriously pisses me off when I see people curling in a fucking squat rack. It's almost as bad as people slamming their weights on to get people to look at them. It's like, no ones impressed by your two-plate squat, dude. And you're not even getting parallel, ya dumb twat.

I've gotten squat advice twice from people at the campus gym: One guy told me the whole knees behind your toes thing, but the other guy was apparently worried about everything I was doing: I was "too bent over", the bar was too low on my back, and I should be using my thumbs to hold the bar. Oh boy.
On that note, I noticed I'm nearly going ass to grass ever since I reset my squats (well, below parallel, close enough); by the time I move back into my apartment and start hitting the campus gym next week I want to be able to do three plates with this form. First real progress with squat form I've noticed, since I "technically" did 290+, only I was doing half-squats. Also my hips hurt.
The thing with people slamming their weights isn't necessarily bad--I do it when I'm doing something like snatches and the shit is too heavy to gently lower. But I never have that problem anymore since everything I do is in a power rack now. I've yet to see a guy throw dumbbells on the ground from a standing press or curls or something, but I would probably laugh if that ever happened.

Oh, hi. I'm in the first week of this workout. Following it pretty strictly although the diet isn't doable for me at all so I'm just eating healthier and supplementing with lots of protein post workout. I have results one week in, but I have never been as sore as I am now.

I do not lift weights. I do not run. I occasionally do pushups/situps. I think lifting weights repeatedly for long periods of time is bad for your bones. I SWIM! Swimming is seriously the best exercise you can get, but its not really as easy as most people think it is.

Start by changing some of your meal habits.
Don't go full on immediately, you'll feel demotivated.
If you need soda, get zero/light.
Start with light jogging, let it be treadmill or terrain.

I fitness regularly, do cardio whenever it's not too cold and follow an IF diet.
From chubby to fit.
