Luminous skill build + other questions

I don't understand how you can switch between eclipse and sunburst or whatever they are called. When I went into eclipse, I couldn't get out of it or switch no matter what I tried.

I don't get this. I've never had any problems with MP from 1-100.

Basically when the "wings" light up, that's one point. It takes one dark wing for your affinity to turn dark (when your eye glows) and light one to turn light. (I have full light, beast grinding). You can press the button on the screen, or hotkey it to change. Long asss cd.

Going dark gives you more damage on dark skills, and returns hp, and same for light but with light skills.

Level 74 from pure questing; haven't grinded for more than 4 levels at level 40 while I was looking for spirit of rock.

You see the giant wings thing? You can switch between eclipse and sunburst by pressing the white and black button underneath it.

EDIT: oops sorry for double post; completely forgot i made the last one.

As far as I can tell, you can't, or aren't supposed to be able to. It might be a glitch? They only way I know how to switch is by clicking the icon.

Apparently if you did the tutorial, you can't hotkey it.

NexonAM really did well with this exclusive change.

Considering how fucked up GMS is, I wouldn't be too surprised. In KMS, a lot of people were suffering from the potion use because of Magic Guard (Zelkova could attest to this).

I'm taking about 30 damage on the stuff it suggests I train on at level 45 (Luminous quest chain), and I have an MP pool of 12k. It does take more than 1 level of training to drain MP, and leveling up recovers 100% for free.

ps. the english voice acting on female luminous is lol.
Attacks in general -> "hip!" / "hyup!"
Blinding Pillar -> "Bow to me!" / "Begone!"
Mana Well -> "This is the beginning." / "Fill me with puminance!" (not a typo it sounds like puminance)
Magic Booster -> "Blinded by the light." / "Wa dyu ming si" (I cannot make out words in this one)

What are you on about? I got a Luminous that just hit 90 about 20 minutes ago, and I only went through 25 Mana Bulls from 1-90. I love the passive Magic Guard, because my HP was at absolutely 0 risk of even going below 90% thanks to my spells healing me up everytime I use it. Those 300 Unagis I bought in the beginning because I thought I'd need to use them? They're still sitting in my inventory, wanting to be eaten. Luminous hardly ate up any mana potions. If nothing else, Battlemage ate up way more MP than my Luminous did.

Magic Guard is no problem when you can easily buy pomegranate like Mana Bulls from an NPC, but the other stuff is expensive as hell.

If by that you mean the ability to heal 1% HP every attack 100% of the time vs half the time in KMS means GMS is f'ucked...

I didn't have a single potion hotkeyed nor did i go into storage for my tradeable "new character gear" until well into mushroom kingdom. I think by the time my luminous hit 70, i had used 2 sorcerer elixers. How is it possible magic guard gives people in KMS that much trouble?

I don't know if that ability is even in KMS, but if that is a difference between GMS and KMS that makes it that much more powerful (like the rest of the skills [340% damage per hit with Spectral Light? Really?]), then yeah... GMS is stupid.

Either way, I think it's based on damage. 1% of your damage going to HP and MP? If that's making you heal a crapload enough to not need potions, especially when Magic Guard is taking damage out of MP instead of HP, that means you're probably pretty god damn funded. As an unfunded guy, that 1% HP/MP heal is meaningless. Without even having touched Magic Guard on my Luminous on GMS, I don't heal for crap. I still use multiple potions per level.

All i had were passives from the account.

The lack of need for pots is based off the fast leveling.

Yep. My GMS Luminous has 0 points in Magic Guard, and I have yet to use a MP potion. I am level 80 something, I can't remember.

I went through 40 sunrise dews. Maybe I'm just not training as effeciently or something but I use a lot of them.

I just stay in Dark/Light Mode with a Jr. Boogie familiar and spam attacks from a distance. Not a single potion is ever needed, even when I train at areas 20 levels above me.
