You would think he'd draw something relating to the 9th Anniversary since that was the whole reason they even asked him for a commission.

Art is still nicely done though. Except for Mercedes...that Mercedes...And switching up the genders for Aran and Evan?

Well drawn, but it wasn't really engaging. I still honestly have no idea what was going on. Something about a crown.

Quite the accomplishment, considering how girly male Mercedes look in MapleStory...

But yeah, I agree with the others. The Maple heroes (and DS) were mostly well drawn, but there's no discernable plot.

I think the crown is actually reference to a type of competition within the ToG manhwa that revolves around gaining control of a crown. At least that's what I thought it was referring to when I saw it. Still a pretty poor plot line nonetheless.

Tower of God is a manhwa where contestants try to reach the top of the tower. In order to do so, they need to go through competitions on floors. One such competition in the manhwa was a game in which teams try to obtain and maintain possession of a crown until the end of the competition. If you've read the manhwa (and happen to play MS), this chapter makes a lot more sense.

It is confusing if you don't know Tower of God. Crown Game is a bonus stage in Tower of God. In this stage everything is about stealing the crown. The person who is in possession of the crown is the winner.
So Sarah, that is why Phantom says he's a thief because the specialty of a thief is stealing.

Thats what i was thinking, the chains made me think of the Black Mage, and the artist wouldn't have drawn a Tower of God character fighting another Tower of God character in a commisioned maple strip.

So yeah, Black Mage has some cool eyes.

Indeed. Seems to me the last guy was the Black Mage fighting against whatever the main antagonist of ToG is.

Something that seems funny to me is that It seems the drawer recognizes DemonSlayer as a Legend and that he got out of the comic just as fast as he went into it.

Came into thread expecting this to be a level 200 dungeon.
Instead it's a nicely drawn comic with a fat mir and a manly mercedes.

He should have put a few words in the first panel to explain that, for the sake of the one or two MapleStory players who don't know Tower of God.

It might make more sense but it certainly doesn't make it any better. It's still terrible. Doesn't seem like the guy tried to do anything interesting at all.

Lol I thought the artwork was pretty good and it made for a nice read, although I had little idea what was going on. Funny how large Evan's dragon was XD
