If that happens, you can bet it won't be a significant amount of NX (think somewhere between 5k and 15k nx). It's too late though. The value of NX has been decimated to pomegranate since everything and its mother has been duped and exploited (including NX itself).

But in all seriousness, I had a feeling Global Maple's population was never that big to begin with. The game has never really been as big as it is in Korea and/or other regions.

It's significantly less active than it has been for a while though. It's becoming increasingly obvious that people are finding other games to play and don't care as much about MS. I'm hoping the exclusive 'hero' or whatever the hell it is they have planned for the summer patch is interesting, because if it isn't I'm getting closed to bailing out as well. A lot of my close friends have become very inactive lately and now that Diablo 3 is out they're not going to be around much at all.

I'd be interested in seeing a breakdown of server activity over a period of 6-8 months or so (hell, over the past year would be good) but I doubt something like that exists. I've been playing again for about a year and in that time the game feels a lot more inactive, and unless I'm just romanticizing the memory, I recall a lot more people playing in 2008-2009 than they did last year/do now. :|

Huh. Never knew there were that few people online. I recall it being upwards of 100k Pre-BB? (IIRC). Maybe this is why they are having so many promotions lately.

Even when I used to play (Bera) the game seemed pretty empty aside from CH1 Henesys/FM, and Gallopera/Ghost Field (Can't remember the name of the map with that ghost ship in it). Pretty much just places that clearly beat out anywhere else EXP-wise.

It also doesn't help that the game has a pomegranate ton of maps so people can be spread out thin as paper outside of the places I mentioned, so it makes the game seem even more like a ghost town.

Arcania was the best when all the "First Gen" players were active. Eventually, hackers controlled the servers and we got fed up and quit the game/server.

It wasn't unusual at all to find an Anego in nearly every channel in one go (if not all of them).

I still find it kinda hard to believe.

UMaple had 17938 Unique characters. Not 17938 Concurrent Users. I bet they only had around 1k users on at any given time. And I'm pretty sure that the number was made up on the spot to try and give nexon the most money.
