no. if u cast infinity force then you can cast all your buffs. unless infinity force needs more than 10 demon force to cast. then ur screwed.

Could be like, IF -> Equip godlike shield -> Spam godlike damage for 30sec -> Switch back to Force Shield.

Yeah...... you have fun doing that. cant do that at bosses though. Found out you cant switch equips if you are currently receiving guards >.<

Oh I'm not gonna do it lol. Too much hassle for the output.
Also I hate the "Guard" cockblock. It's just as bad as trying to change equips / drop something when your pet is trying to loot something while you're full.

shields come pre-potentialed and level up
Force shields cannot be scrolled
Force shields increases maximum dark force
And by description i think you need a force shield for:

Force Guard
Description: Add a chance to block enemy attacks using a Force Shield. Upon successfully guarding, you will recover a small amount of HP and Force.

1 Chance to Guard: 2%, Recovers 1% HP and 1 Force
15 Chance to Guard: 30%, Recovers 3% HP and 5 Force


so whether you pic attack shield(more damage) or Force Shield(30% chance to guard, recovert as well as force charge) is up to you

You forgot to mention that you can't do pomegranate without a force shield, as per Mushroom's post.

ok. all of the stats u mentioned are for the 4th job force sheild. The 1st~3rd job sheilds cant be potentialed. dont even think you can unequip those.

And about choosing a regular sheild over a force sheild. you CAN... but making force Guard only skill to take into account is wrong. You should take into account any and all skills that require 10 demon force or more into your calculation.

So pretty much you CAN do that but you cant really do much.

IIRC, the level 120 shield only has certain stats of potential.

Fairly certain it works the same way as Evan's glove effect does.
No item visibly in the slot, but you get the graphical effect of it.
