You press the up button by the elevator and wait for the door to open, hoping to see Patches or your other cat, Fuzzbuns. As you wait, the scratching sound gets louder and LOUDER and LOUDER until...

The doors open and nothing is inside. You enter and examine the buttons. There appear to be 3 floors above this one, as well as a basement. Strangely, the elevator appears to be locked, as the buttons do nothing. There is a keyhole below the buttons.

What will you do next?

Look around for the key, in the elevator, in your pockets/bag. While you do it, check for anything else you may have with you of useful.

You cannot find a key in the elevator or in your pockets. You have no bag. You are wearing a suit. Your pockets contain a wallet and a phone, though the phone appears to be out of power.

You enter the room on the left side of the second floor. The floor is covered by a red carpet. The walls are covered with various tapestries and paintings, all of them of a young while-haired women. Judging by her clothing, she is some sort of royalty. In the center of the room there is a pedestal. A closed book lies upon the pedestal, with a key stuck in it as a bookmark.

Take off my suit.

You feel that there is no reason to expose yourself like that.

What will you do next?

Turn off my game console and go outside.

Take the carpet, the pedestal, the book and the key. Proceed to read the book while stuffing the carpet and pedestal into the hammerspace bag that you pulled out of hammerspace.

Repeatedly breathe in and out. Attempt to stay calm and cool.

Ah, your game console. You reminscence about playing it with your closest friends. Sadly, it's not here with you.

Take the carpet, the pedestal, the book and the key. Proceed to read the book while

stuffing the carpet and pedestal into the hammerspace bag that you pulled out of hammerspace.

You place the key, carpet, and pedestal into your hammerspace inventory. Unfortunately, it appears that you've tapped into a different inventory than usual, or else you would have the aforementioned console with you. The floor is bare.

You open the book to the page where the key was. It seems to be a diary or log of some sort. All of the pages after this one are blank.

We do not know what it is, but it is coming. We must protect her at all costs. All our research suggests that to even attempt to see it and survive, one must cast the 4 spells to prepare their mind. We leave the first here in the hope that if we fail, those who come after shall succeed: obed ntfar daio

You read the spell aloud. The room fills with a bright light, and when you are able to see again, you notice that the book has vanished. In its place is a silver charm bracelet. One of the 4 charms has turned blue and glows slightly. The glowing charm is shaped like the book you just read. You put the bracelet on.
