Dealing with smoking
#21
I smoke and you can't even smell it on me and I don't wear perfumes/lotions. I'll quit when I'm ready too even though I know what it's already done to my lungs. I've been smoking for 19 years so it's not that easy to just stop like people think it is. There are many options to help someone quit, but unfortunately alot of insurance companies won't cover the medication or smoking cessation. If they want people to be healthy then they should help people who actually want to quit.

Both my parents smoked majority of my life. So I might as well have started lmao. Though my dad was able to quit by will power like 5 years ago, well rather, because it saved him a ton on his insurance lol. My sister is dating a smoker too, though his mom died during his senior year so it isn't surprising, and if he wants to kiss she makes him wash down listorine, mother pineappleer's whipped.

All and all ciggerettes really shouldn't be a gamekiller. If you really like someone, they're bound to have one awful quality, just be glad it isnt PMS. Well you also like guy's so be fortunate he's not self concious and whiney.

Who knows if I'll still be toking at that age but why not? Maybe people get a kick out of pot when they're young because they're young and it's illegal but y'know, I like smoking and I like getting high...I'll smoke it 'til I die if I feel like it.

My gf and I actually had a convo about this. We both blaze now, and I see absolutely no reason to stop, but she was definitely pushing the "stop when we get older thing." Personally, I see myself as a 70 yr old retiree blazin and enjoying the rest of my days. As for smoking cigarettes though, she smokes them occasionally, and I will admit they are great when drunk. But, I guilt-tripped her into quitting, why keep smoking something thats terrible for your body and then quit something awesome like green? She quit a couple weeks ago, so its all good now though!!! I think talking tot he person is definitely the best option, you dont have to be accusatory or unreasonable about it either. If you really want someone to quit, help them. Show them their options and actually help them get through it rather than just denouncing it and making them feel alienated and stressed. That could just make them go smoke more.

YEAHHHHHH. Agreed. I don't know why people "quit" the green but keep smoking cigarettes...you KNOW those people know which is worse -- Idk how you can choose like that. :/

Last night me and my mom (I'm home for the summer) went out at like 2 AM since we're both night owls. While driving around and shopping at Wal-Mart in the dead of night she revealed to me her and my stepdad toke still every once in awhile and when I go to Charlotte tomorrow she's going to give me some cash and I'm gonna make a pick-up while I'm there (I was already going to make a pick-up but I guess now I'm getting more) and bring it back for us when we're all at the beach for 4 days.

Can you say awesome beach trip?

you're kidding.
Ill gladly trade moms with you any day!!! Thats so awesome, Ive literally dreamed about smoking with my mom/family, but the only one Ive ever done it with was an older cousin. That pretty much means you'll never have to worry about getting caught. My moms a square though, she definitely doesnt/hasnt ever smoked. Luckily, my beach trip will be to San Diego to stay with my gf for a week in her apartment at the beach, lol, and Cali bud is just oh so sweet, lmao.

The fact that she is actually putting in for weed with you is amazing. Cherish these moments, you're one of a chosen few.

I don't care, even if it's my gf. The reason is that cigarettes don't get one high and I don't mind the smell/smoke unless people blow it on my face.
As long as they don't need to get theirself high in order to have fun, whether it's alcohol or drugs. Moderate drinking is okay. Same for smoking, I wouldn't date a girl that smokes 2 packs a day.

Then again, I've been defending some people from the antis, simply because they sound quite paranoid and ignorant to me.
Like this Iceland law, where you now have to be pointed out as a nicotine addict by a doctor, in order to buy cigarettes...from a pharmacy. Meanwhile alcohol law remains untouched and mobile phones, microwaves, proccoli and sunlight still cause cancer.

Smoking irritates me because it smells terrible. Yeah people have the choice to do it or not and i have no right to stop them, but it still is a terrible habit. I can't stand the smell of it because in high school, every day on my way to my locker, some dipsticks were in the bathroom smoking really bad weed. it made the entire building smell worse than it already did. I would never date a smoker because the smoke doesn't just get on them, it gets on everything they own. I couldn't stand the smell of it all.
