If they add 4th job to CKs they'll need to restrict them from walking in Future Ereve. If they do that, that means no other 160+ content for them except Monster Park. So they'll need to create another place
If they add 4th job to CKs they'll need to fix Blessing of Empress so it doesn't become too crazy high power.
If they add 4th job to CKs they'll need to remove the 6 AP per lvl through 1-70.

It's just not worth the trouble for Nexon to go through.

- Patch 1: Nexon adds CK 4th job
- Patch 2: Young empress is made aware of the future Ereve and what might happen (since she doesn't believe anyone beside her "expert CK" (4th job CK), so she's going to stop it with (insert some cliché Nexon move like bringing back another hero here)
With patch 2, it solves pretty much the top 2 problem mentioned. There will be a plot for CK with future Ereve, and Blessing of Empress can work as a "power boost for maplers to help the Young Empress to prevent the future from happening"
and i dont think nexon will care much about the op-ness of the 6 ap. i mean common db is too OPed compare to other classes and nexon still keeps it OP....

I feel like people are reading too much into this. Archer's have always been associated with wind in some form or another, due to their fleeting nature. The first sentence is likely the introduction of the Archer hero, likely more wind-oriented than even the Wind Archer, and the second is in regard to previous archer changes. That's what I'm seeing.

they care about the little things, HT's been glitched for over a year, but it took less than a month to fix BB rings. and i agree with sarah, archers have always been associated with wind, everyone is probably reading into it too much.

Well, they could always give Cygnus Knights 4 ap instead of 5 for another 70 levels to balance things out.

That's what I get when reading it as well. Though part of it may just be wishful thinking for myself since I just want to see an archer legend. Next week can't come soon enough!

The redoing of PQs sounds very nice, too. I miss doing PQs with friends and even randoms, to get EXP and a good reward, rather than spamming them for nothing other than a medal or one equip. Hopefully the changes bring it at least close to that again.

Just because it's the Archer patch and contains the word "wind" doesn't mean they'll turn all that amazing.
Look at the Dawn Warrior and Blaze Wiz. Did they turn special? No.

as you can see irena is here so who know maybe wind archers are losing their transformation(since its supposed to be "someone") or irena is related to the new job

Like I said, it's just an image of an archer. Yes they could have used those, but similar things can be said about Rangers/Marksman if they used different images. Wind is synonymous with Archers, regardless of whether or not Wind Archers even existed.

Yay to butchering archers and i really don't think that we will be getting a new hero in this patch. Although i am expecting new changes for wind archers

I have a feeling that we wont get a new hero with this patch, even if those two sentence huint to more than just class revamps. Let's hope that KNexon can surprise us.

About the CK and 4th job, it's totally possible. It would require nerfs to many skills, eliminating the lvl 100 and 110 skill quests, adding 2 new skills to fill the gap, even a few of the empress blessing skills and would require reseting the extra AP got from lvl 1 to 70. Just tell me what of that is harder than anything that's been done to any job with the previous revamps?

When Future Ereve was released I totally saw the posibility of a Cygnus 4th job coming with the argument that "Cygnus Knights have failed to protect the maple world, the power of the black mage has proved to be too strong, in order to avoid sinking into the darkness and pulling the entire world along with them, Cygnus Knights have to become stronger, it's time for the ultimate job" blah blah. See how easy it was to even add a back story to it?

but remember, nexon wants to create a BANDWAGON when new jobs get released, so i think the idea of having more AP and getting more OPed will work in nexon's advantage. my theories (from what i've seen) is that they'll leave the stats be, introduce the OP 4th job, then later on nerf the SKILLS
and for the archer picture: clearly irena's picture is the best looking among them all. sure nexon could've chosen others but irena's picture look best and fits with the patch

Why all the sudden are we expecting 4th job CK's when there is NOTHING to suggest it. Not a damned thing. Come on SP.net you used to contain some form of logic. Now you're all over the damned map. Sarah is likely right, archers have always associated with the element of the wind. This could mean the Archer legend is around the corner, or it could just be the name they've chosen to give to the archer update, I don't remember the magicians but it had something to do with "spell".

Anyway, I don't own an archer, and likely will not make one as none of the current ones appeal to me. So barring some really interesting changes or a legend release, what really excites me is the party quest revamp. I love party quests. Just makes me sad that Jump! is still really far out...

This is what MapleStory needs. (No joke.)

I feel like anymore Cygnus Knight functionality would just be redundant for the most part. The entirety of the class is built around capping at lv 120, so removing that level cap would a good bit of the diversity they bring to the game, effectively making them just another non-adventurer class. If anything I feel like what most people are talking about in terms of story could be a rewrite of the Ultimate Adventurer storyline, or what little it actually has. putting more prevalence on Future Ereve when the character is created, and then giving a lot of exclusive quests dealing with Future Ereve.

If it's archer legend without archer revamp, i will be severely disappoint.
