Yeah, I looked through some revoltechs, but they're mostly only good if it's on a mech. I do enjoy mech anime, but not so much figures. Probably only figures I like are gundams but I like the actual model kits to build them, which are equally expensive T_T
e.g.
Are all nendoroids pretty much "smooth" and don't have ugly joints? Even at places where you can swap out parts?
Edit: xBTAx Wrote:That Yuki is my favorite Nendoroid as well.
And since SAL was asked about... you're a tiny bit more likely to get a damaged box, and it may take longer (anything from a week to ~a month), but it's worth it if you want to save money.
It kind of depends since EMS prices are usually ridiculously high compared to SAL even though the benefits are better. Even if the box is damaged, as long as it doesn't disrupt the figure it's fine I guess (unless by damaged you mean it's like someone dropped it on the floor a few times or stepped on the corner of it)

Personally, the only Nendo I own is a BRS Nendo. I'm not a huge fan of those, though they look incredibly cute. I like figurines that are full-body and depicts the character as how fans are used to seeing them. I'm sure 98% of my figurines are PVCs. No figmas for me. I might get a Revoltech some day, but it's not a huge priority. Always wanted to get a Gurren Lagann Revoltech figure..
As of late, I haven't bought too a lot of figurines at all. Been buying more apparel related merchandises. Trying to get a ton of Touhou shirts, some that I custom made for myself.

My choice in figurines is probably really close to yours (same with the dust and all that crap). I mostly enjoy full-body ones that look amazing from series I enjoy.
As for touhou, my brother got these at last years AX

^ do want
Another question: I've been checking around the amiami site a lot (which makes me realize how poor i am), and I've noticed some figurines are listed as "For sale in Japan only". Is this just an amiami thing or does it mean they can't ship overseas, because other sites i've been on to don't have problems selling a lot of their figurines like that.

I think some figurines are actually restricted for Japanese people only, though I'm not too sure on that. I could be wrong. I actually read something similar to this a while back, in fact, there was a similar reason as to why AmiAmi cannot sell Good Smile Company's Nendoroids for an extremely cheap price on the English site.
The thing about AmiAmi is that the costs on there are actually pretty cheap if you try comparing them to other websites. Try comparing figurines on there to the stuff on Jlist, Otacute, etc. Best way to buy figurines if you want to be cost-effective is to try buying them at fansites that have a large community that sells back figurines. I usually lurk on figure.fm and myfigurecollection.net whenever I want to buy pre-owned figurines. Figure.fm has a nice community, though the demanded prices for some of the stuff on there are pretty insane. Cheapest and best thing I got from that site was my Rozalin, and that was my 1st figurine.
Though if you're aiming for apparel items, go for Jlist, their stuff is cheaper. Most shirts are near 20 bucks, iirc. S&H costs less than 5 bucks too, iirc. If you're buying from AmiAmi, expect 3,000 JPY (near ..36+ USD?), and that's excluding S&H, so in total, expect 40 bucks. If you know what you're doing though, you could also try making custom t-shirts. Though the last one I made ended up costing me near 30 bucks (total) for 1 shirt. >___>

It's this tag I'm wondering about
There are a lot of figurines that have that tag (at least ones me/brother are interested in).
I know other sites don't have that restriction, but I don't really know any other good sites to buy from besides amiami

Go to the Japanese site an d place an order on the Japanese side, then check out on the English side. It works fine. Not sure why they even both with that if they still ship internationally. More like "we don't want you to buy this from the English site".

So I should be able to get any item without a problem? I remember reading that roundabout method in the figurine thread, but I thought it was just for adding items to the cart. Thanks so much if it's true

Are there any other shop which specializes more on T-shirts and wallpapers of anime and ships internationally?

COSPA actually has its own US store, though I'm not sure how well the prices there compare to other sites: http://www.cospaus.com/.
Other than that, I'd go with AmiAmi or Hobby Search.

Both of those sites are really for figurines, they have some T-shirts but nothing major and no wall scrolls.
And I guess it's a trend to have absolutely nothing of old series (as in, not airing right now) >.<

Well, you can't really blame them for not having things that are out of stock or don't exist... :x
