I'm not computer expert, but this doesn't sound right to me.
If you want a laptop to run games, you'll want a finalized list of games. A phone probably has the hardware to run MapleStory, but you'll want a decent processor and graphics card to get SC2 running. (Which is huge in Korea. No idea if you play it, Tay, but it's an example I can use. Know nothing about Mabi and Nexon's other games)
First off, every computer has a graphics card. Without one, you'll be doing everything off of command prompt. Lower end graphics card are integrated into the motherboard. Any gaming with 3D graphics (Mabi, Vindicus) will want more.
I really don't know about processors. Faster is always better, but I'm not sure how important speed is. School work could be done off of a 1 GHz iPhone processor, but your games will want more. I've always been under the impression that graphics cards and RAM are what limit your computer's gaming more than processor speed.
I'm sure some techies could help you pick out a specific laptop in the Tech Forum, given usage and budget.
