hi guys. thanks for the replies. some has helped me along (while some less lol), think ill be narrowing down to DB and Mech. alone these choices let me know ive got to be prepared to set aside some funds for washing.. but ill do my best.

I toyed with the idea of arans, since their HP base is somewhat higher than DB/mech, but their combo counter discouraged me. I tried playing my lv 51 aran today after leaving it to rot for months, and while i tried to pot, i realised that it took me 1-2 seconds to pot. Imagine going to bosses with that, eg. Zk. Banging body, hitting like no tmr on the attack button, stopping to press my pot... and there goes my combo. dang.

Paladin's threaten is a nice buff, and true, less $ spent on washing. I've got to read up more on this job.. Only sad thing will be as Sorien said: no mobility... But having elemental advantages? hell yea. My BS was restricted to skeles. But changing element at will? cool stuff. KIV!

DBs and Mech both have damage and mobility (db> mech i guess? but mech can do that jumping thing!). Watched a mech soloing zk

both with crits, both able to pt OR solo. now if only they show their eqs/ range so that i know whether they're on par in terms of items or not...

.....im confused. -_- gotta research for other conditions/situations. ideas, anyone?

Other classes? or Other people with less funding and or not using same party skills/atk pot.

My Corsair is 145, and my Mech is 135. They basically share the same equipment (Corsair has slightly better items like a timetraveller medal and a much nicer belt). Corsair damage range is about 1000 less than the Mechs when both are on their machines (plus Corsairs do not have advanced mastery, so the minimum dmg range is much lower). Solo'ing pap, the Mech is just plain faster, mostly due to the 100% stance.

Corsair has maxed boat, cannon and revenge, no bullseye.
Mech has maxed extreme and 15/30 tank, no AF-11. (af-11 and bullseye are the same, so they cancel anyway)

As you can see, the Corsair's main attacking skills are maxed (Mech's are not), has 10 levels on the Mech, better equips, and is still outclassed.

The gap gets smaller after Chaos, but by how much?

Lagging on potions will get you killed on any class and otherwise make your DPS drop like a rock. Either you get an auto potion pet, a better connection, move to california or give up being the best DPS in-game.

That would, all i've seen from gms arans were such fail =/ But maybe thats just in yellonde since i think most of our aran population are hackers with bad equips and can't play -_-
