Well there's not really an English word that fully grasps the meaning of it. Not the only word that can't really be translated well. Think of them as a loan words.

Still, if you were on the street, talking to some random person and you bring up a term in another language, the person is going to look at you like you're retarded. There's no point in using a term when 90% of the readers won't know what the hell you're saying.

I'm pretty sure all 7k users don't frequent the Funhouse regularly. 90% of Southperry as in the users that show their face enough to really be considered a part of Southperry.

You may not see people, but that doesn't mean those people aren't there. If they don't know what they're reading, they won't post.

Well they should learn how to use the internet then. Unlike the streets, you can get the meaning of a word in less than a minute. Honestly, what would you have wanted her to post instead? "I wonder if she was bipolar"?
"I wonder if she was the type of person that puts on a cold and rough exterior but is actually soft and fragile deep down inside, but wouldn't reveal that side unless you first cracked through the hard shell"? Because that's just redundancy. If you don't know what it means, then its up to you to decide if its worth it or not for you to look up. I can't say there are many people that frequent the funhouse that I don't think would know what tsundere means.
Honestly, the percentage of people that know what the word means and frequents this section is well above 60%

Unless you get a headcount of how many people understand what the word means, you can't state a percentage of people who know what it means.
Hell... Even talking to Japanese people, frequenting Japanese websites and even being around a lot of animu freaks, the first time I had ever seen or heard the term was when you said it some months back. I didn't even learn what it meant until about a month ago when I finally decided to look it up. I thought it was some kind of weird animu term that you guys were using, since you guys only used it when posting animu pictures (not like you do that with only animu situations, though).

Yay for not knowing what that means.
And infractionPM left me long ago. It's heartbreaking.

If that were true at least half the vaccine thread wouldn't have happened.

So don't state that 90% of the readers can't read the post without doing a headcount yourself.

But we're not talking about random Japanese people, and we're not talking about random thugs you meet on the street. I'm sure if you went to most other forums and started talking about chinchillas and pineapples, nobody would know what the hell you mean, but on Southperry they know. This is strictly about the kind of people that read Southperry. If you don't know what it means then look it up, really.
It's a slang term anyway, so what does it matter? Not even a real word in Japanese. Honestly, if there was a word like "kawaii" or "sugoi" or "unko" dropped into a random English sentence, I'd agree that it's pointless. But this isn't the same case. You don't piss on people for saying they had a case of déjà vu, saying "WELL WHAT IF THERE'S PEOPLE THAT DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?! STOP USING FOREIGN WORDS IN ENGLISH!"
If they don't know what it means, they can look it up. It's hard to find an English equivalent of the word, and much simpler to just keep it as is. Unlike déjà vu, tsundere and most other terms like it will never get officially adopted as an English loan word, so it will certainly never be as well known, but that's not really the fault of the poster. It's up to the reader to broaden their vocabulary a bit if they run across a word they don't understand, not the writer.
