the majority of the time im better off actually training than trying to find a free zak ch -- even the late mornings are packed nowadays

This is relatively the same for me. Finding an open Zak ch is nigh impossible, until it's like 1-2am.
Least for me, it's better for me to just level alts instead of wasting hours to snag a Zak channel.

Well if I can get roughly 750,000 from 50 badges on average minus the occasional 25% chance of extra gear that goes either to MTS or an NPC, and maybe getting 100 badges every 5 ~ 7 minutes, eh... minus the time taken to go back to the Bandit Camp or to town again... you get the idea... I'm too lazy to do the entire math calculation today... so if you want to bother with it, go ahead. I don't care.

Assuming it takes 3 minutes on average to gather 50 badges, and the average gain is 600k, that works out to 12m an hour. So unless you play less than half an hour a day, yes.
edit: I'd estimate a trip to Windraiders at ~5 mins, probably slightly more, also depending on if you do Lower Ascent or the other one at the top.

Your forgetting that there more than one prize than just mesos and how common each prize is. I've done the exchange quest, and youll get a ton of silver crows >_>

I got two 60% scrolls also today (knuckle and bow for ATT). However I did turn in about 400 of them, and only got 2 equips however out of that batch as well. A Knuckle and a Crossbow. Still not a bad haul. Even found a few Bigfoot and Headless Horsemen wandering around as well and was able to redo their quests from Lita Lawless.

So out of 8 batches and 4 items 50% of the time I got mesos only.

Yea thats nice, but on what character are you hunting on? Your pali? It takes me longer than 7 min to collect 100 badges and im using my wild hunter that can 1 hit too =/
Do you have any HH? And do you really go to tornado corridor? The spawn seemed too slow for it to be good =x

I got a Badge to drop almost ever kill anyways so it took me roughly about 7 minutes per 100 though some did not drop right away.

I am Level 147 though so go figure.

Hmm i just timed myself, with an 8 minute pot. Just a bit over 100 badges. Strange, didn't seem that fast when i was doing it.

Drop rates are high but they aren't always 100%. If anything the chance of getting a Badge per Wind Raider kill is about 9 out of 10.

I only managed to get 10% on my EXP today as well. 2 Papulatus kills, several Bigfoots and Headless Horsemen, and the training at Tornado Corridor. Not too shabby I guess. I didn't have time though for Krexel or Pianus.
