Missing at Singapore?
#21
Something still doesnt make sense. My Mage has over 1500 accuracy, and he misses occationally against Galloperas. Oddly enough, I didnt notice one miss from my Warrior on my last Scar/targa run. Something just doesnt make sense...

My Battle Mage (level 101, somewhere in the vicinity of 800 magical accuracy) still misses on Galloperas and occasionally on Selkies. My Dawn Warrior (120, god knows how much accuracy) has the same issue, except he seems to see more frequent misses than the Battle Mage. My Chief Bandit (Level 90, 734 weapon acc [and 627 Magical accuracy. Hrrm]) has not missed on Selkies since I levelled (in the ghost ship, so as to avoid Slimy confusion).

Hope that helps at all, though I'm as perplexed as the rest of you.

I never missed on Galloperas since I had trained there as a Wild Hunter (94), same for MP3 mobs.
Accuracy seems to actually matter there, I wonder how though.

So those misses on Scarlion/Targa weren't imaginary. Good to know.

My 60 battle mage suffers about 4 times as many misses at Jester as compared to sparkers and freezers, maybe it is an issue with monsters that are not in KMS?

I know what we need... we need a counting experiment...

That brings up something very interesting that I noticed.

Like I said, Battle Mage, with about 786 Magic Accuracy at the time, was missing those same monsters despite being over-leveled.
My Wind Archer, however, never misses with 897 Accuracy.

Could the problem be linked directly to Dex?

Magic accuracy is useless from my experience. Only regular accuracy matters for my mage.

At level 121 I still miss on every single mob in the ghost ship area. Even the tube things.

That's not it. Once my Battle Mage hit 70, I never missed at Jesters.

Apparently people that are 20 levels below the monster are still able to get in hits. Someone care to test this out a bit more? I thought it should technically be impossible to hit anything 20 levels or more above your own level?

It's possible but only by classes that use DEX. It still adds accuracy, so if it's high enough they can hit mobs 20+ levels higher than them. Mages can't, though.

Check: anyone still missing now? My Mech's been training at MY for over 20 levels. Once I hit the mob's level, misses completely disappeared. Awaiting further verification.

Mechanics main stat is dex. They have plenty of accuracy to hit singapore mobs, regardless of their absurdly high avoid.

The problem is simple : Singapore mobs have way higher avoid than other monsters.

That is Post-Chaos.

I don't get you people! I don't miss them at all...

Depends on the class. Obviously classes that have their main stat that gives +Accuracy [Dex / Luk], will never miss, but others will, until they get to 300+ accuracy.
But a rather confusing sentiment came up tonight. My bishop sister is 173, has 1458 magic accuracy, yet she still misses at MP3. Is there something wrong with the magic formula, again?

Mages are using the physical accuracy to hit instead of magic accuracy.. or so I heard.

Seems to be the case.

Of course, that means that Mages can't really do anything about missing since even being Regular-Luk won't help out much.
