Steam Holiday Sale Begins! Over 1000 titles on sale.
#21
Got SMP, that pie thing, and some indie pack with Geometry wars all for 10 bucks. This is probably my 3rd or 4th Steam account, but this one I am sure I'll remember.

And now Meat Boy throws my monitor "out of resolution range". Great.

Where'd you get this number? I see 1136+666 = 1752 things.

It used to be 1034 before they updated more titles. If I can get the thread name changed it would be easier to just say 'Over 1000'.

Ooh, ok. I thought it had been the same the whole time. :p

Seems like they ran out of sales? I noticed that today's sale was nearly all repeats from the first couple days.

They're giving a second chance on them, since people might've been busy the last few days and whatnot.

Yeah, everyone expected this for the last day, not now. Seems that they're splitting it up into two parts (so this is the "recap" for the first part).

So far I've gotten... Super Meat Boy, both Mass Effects, and Winterbottom (since it was $0.50). SMB and ME have been fun; haven't played Winterbottom yet.

...I should probably buy an extra SMB gift code today, just in case...

Never used Steam, but since I see all the hype over SMB...any chance it'll drop down to 75% off again or should I go ahead and grab it for 50% off while I still can?

Recommended to not buy any game you're interested in, until it's either the last day or it goes on the "daily deals" list.

SMB was already a daily deal, and the "recap" day it was in has passed as well. The developers have been saying on Twitter that it's not going back to that price, so I'm guessing that the next "recap" will only be for the 2nd week. So... yeah, the cheapest it'll be is what it is now, but you have a few days to buy it still.

Yea, I went ahead and downloaded Steam and bought the game. Totally worth it. ^_^ Too bad I didn't actually pay attention to this thread a week earlier. Oh well.

I enjoy sales.

I bought Super Meat Boy, Portal (Finally), and Borderlands for 25 bucks, when it should have been 50.

So far I've got the F.E.A.R. package and Crysis Warhead. Hopefully Mass Effect or Left for Dead will hop along again.

Don't know if crysis is even worth it. Its just a benchmark to see if you can run any game.
