Using a proxy to play is not always recommended as most proxies still forward your IP and MAC address. For you, this may have disabled your account in part, if not in whole. The only course of action you might have left is either submit a ticket to Nexon, or go about using the native distribution of MapleStory for your region.
Regional blocks use various methods to enforce rules. One of the most used is IP address checks and MAC address checks. Proxies can get around most IP checks if they don't do forward upon request of source, or MAC address forwarding.
MAC addresses have to be spoofed to get around proxies and most don't if any offer regionalism address spoofing for security and liability reasons. MAC addresses can tell who made the network adapter in the PC or attached to it, what country it was made in, etc.
Nexon is probably using IP forward request and check, MAC address checking, and other regional lockouts on accounts now.
You might think these lockouts are unfair but it helps save bandwidth for the servers attempting to transmit data to long distance places which in turn creates lag, longer ping times, and even data loss or corruption.
