lol. I used to know a method like this... never really used it though, yay for calculators.

God I hated that stuff. My elementary school made us do it for a while, and I never understood how it worked.

That's what she's trying to do. She didn't know she was so good at math until someone pointed it out to her, so she tried to use it to her advantage to make people bow down to her when they realize how smart she is. She asked if he can solve them or not.

Just proves that she isn't really all that smart after all. Those are impossible to "solve" because they aren't equations in the first place; they're all expressions. You can't "solve" expressions.
