More like T-Minus 8 days. 9 days if Nexon really blew it this time. Hello emergency server checks and patches.

At least they finally announced the date.

Jamie_Kurosawa Wrote:Wow, now I know for a fact Nexon doesn't even know how to be original at anything. And at this rate, and the risk of backlash by Nexon admins lurking here, and possible ramifications I could get here as well I'll say it:

T-Minus 6 days until we get yet another patch to MapleStory which worsens gameplay and introduces more bugs making not only Vista/7 unplayable, again, but also Windows XP further alienating the players even more and ruining the gameplay for every last Mapler of GMS.
Sad to say I have a feeling it will end up like that too.

They seriously should have delayed it to fix all the Tespia bugs and actually make the game stable rather than rush it out & have a million server checks. Can't really enjoy the content when you can't even get online. I'm really hoping the outcome is a positive one.

Kirby... remember the slogan "the miracle of modern technology"? Well in Nexon's case, as is technology's, it's a miracle if it works, an even bigger one when it does work, and the biggest miracle of all if it works perfectly at all.

Not be overly optimistic, but they still have 5ish days?

They do not take tespia and shove it into our client. Anyway, Nexon's not nearly as big of a pineappleup as you make them sound to be. They can only do so much wrong.

5 days is 5 days... let's just hope Nexon doesn't decide to throw another party with dancing and booze and strippers... (Futurama - Bender reference).

I won't be able to play until the 17th because of friggin' finals. Hey, at least maybe the game will be more stable by then.

Well they did extend tespia after all so that was extra time to hump out the kinks.

I'm half and half; i'd like to see a low bug release, but at the same time, but i KNOW there's going to be some overlooked issues that's gonna pop up when it hits the live server regardless of how much time they've spent on tespia.

I'd rather that they get it up at this point so the server can go live and they notice these issues now and do the series of maints, than to wait till the 24th or something just for the same, almost unavoidable issues and maintenances to pop up anyway.

I hope they fix the annoying frequent disconnection problem. But they did fix the lag spikes so one can hope.

Actually the lag is still fairly bad.

Yeah.... I deduced it as the worst case scenario. No one logical wants to go up against WoW at this point in its popularity. It will be the most forgotten and least talked about thing for the day in terms of MMOs. It's gonna be a bloodbath. Ah well, to a diehard Mapler, it doesn't matter.

I'm really surprised. I didn't expect it to begin until at least the 21st. Kudos to Nexon.

I'm going to say this right now. I'm all for defending NEXON in the terms of extensions and what not. But even I am expecting multiple server checks, a couple emergency patches, and maybe a whole day worth of patching. When you do and update THIS huge theres bound to be kinks to work out. So right now think about the time they have in mind and add about 5-6 hours on to it. I'm sure everyones expecting them.

Rather than Nexon having us patch our existing client would it not be better to download a whole shiny new client for a completely fresh start?
