I'm guessing it's just an error, seeing how it doesn't ahve an end date or anything.

I really wasn't expecting GMS to get it at all.

I wonder if they're actually going to have good translations and I wonder how much they'll change it from the original, if at all. This also makes me ponder whether or not Future Tokyo has a chance of being implemented in GMS now.

Can anyone quickly sum up what to expect in Kaede Castle anyway? Ilbis, Elemental Wand/Staff?

Kaede Castle is a Feudal Era themed area expansion for the Jipangu continent. It's a maze of a castle with a large level range (25 ~ 180) and the monsters/bosses drop Ribgols, Shield Attack Scrolls, Shield Magic Attack Scrolls, Elemental Wands/Staves, Ilbis and other things.

Also, assuming anything about Nexon at this point is a joke. Since for three patches in a roll they've gone totally off their rocker and done things no one expected.
