The Flying Dutchman (PvN discussion thread)

(I really hate it when there are two different threads for discussion, it makes it somewhat confusing and less streamline)

There aren't two threads for discussion. There's one thread for discussion and one for gameplay. On the old forum where I played, game hosts got temporary mod powers, so I would usually lock the gameplay thread at night. The idea, again, is to keep it from being cluttered from anything that doesn't relate to gameplay, and people generally sleep at night and should not be participating in serious gameplay while sleeping.

Well, now Ray can enjoy being the helmsman of the Flying Dutchman, considering his experience with driving buses.

You guys all suck for killing Ray. I wanted to give him a chance because he said that his team never won a mafia game before, so.....

Funny how in Xela's games the bus driver like, dies first.

There's a huge difference between being lynched on Day1 and killed on Night 0 - that being that I didn't get to do ANYTHING except investigate someone. Being killed before I was even allowed to post...

Oh boy, now you know how I feel in those real-life Mafia games!

And yes there has to be someone dead in "Night 0" in this instance because otherwise there would be virtually no reason for townies to lynch on "Day 1". (realism)



Also, what's the significance of a bus driver? o.O EDIT: I looked it up, but I'm still not entirely clear in this particular instance.

Ray died today. He was Old Hobb, your busdriver. YOU GUYS NEVER LET ME HAVE ANY FUN. D: Anyway, it's night now, so get them actions in. If I get them all soon, night will end soon. If not, it may run a little past noon EST tomorrow - I have a class from 10:55-12:40.

(But seriously, I think you killed off my busdriver really quickly last game too. :<)

That was just me being sad to see the busdriver go so soon. They cause chaos, which is hilarious from the host's perspective. Thus my sadness. I wasn't saying that you guys are terrible people or anything, I was just bawwwwwwwwing a bit. <_<

Gameplay discussion is discussion. When you make posts to accuse, defend, or vote on matters that actually affect the game, they go in the other thread. When you just want to vent about how you got killed, that goes here. I think that's pretty clear.

I did not see any such mention of that. And I wasn't around for the earlier Mafia games, or at least I didn't notice them.

Still, I like that suggestion. I think it really should be used the next game, since Lord Xela automatically took the narrator part.

I noticed that as well, but the problem is that it is Day 1. It'll be easier to draw conclusions after Day 2's voting is done. And while it sucks that we're down another townie, I must admit I'm glad that you were only a vanilla townie Dusk. If you had been the doctor or some other power role, I think there might have been a suicide on my part. T_T

Its always the "get-the-most-experienced-players" that get lynched from the get-go eh?
