Maybe it's like in gpq. You have to drop items at those locations, then get to the CWK map, where upon you'll drop the last item, summoning the giant and his pet that you must defeat to show you are a true grandmaster/bosshunter/w.e. Kinda like how Cerebus guards the underworld.
