WOW Godly Dexless Blades and Daggers...

I'm just worried because I made a normal dex dual blader and I spent lots of nx on it already. If the new dexless blades (which appears to be stronger than normal dex blades at the same level) are easily obtainable, that means there wouldnt be a point in continuing my normal dex dual blader. I'm about to even buy 2x exp from cash shop too, so I don't want to waste things, just making sure...

But from the looks of this, it looks like I'm gonna have to start a dexless dual blader.

It's not all about the weapons you know. Being normal dex allows you to equip higher level armors, which means bigger, better and more bonuses.

Unless you can get enough stats from Helms/Pendants/Rings/Earrings/Belts to equip level 80 armors and stay statless. But then you'll have to deal with 121+ armors if they ever make them.

Do the armor defenses matter that much? I mean, what can 100 weapon defense do anyway? I can get a 25-30 LUK sauna robe... and I'm planning on pumping with LUK equips too, so more LUK while having just as much weapon attack from dexless weapons (since visitor blades are just as good as normal blades, if not even better).

How does that even "piss" you off? How am I offending you? What if I am dumb and I have Down Syndrome and I am excited for these new weapons? Can't I have the freedom to express without being flamed? So what if I made comments that I wasn't sure of but were obvious to you? What if I ask people how to change hotkeys or job advance or other noob questions? So what? Why are you even making it a big deal?

Do you know about the potential system and how it works? It's not the defense that matters, it's the % bonuses you can get from equips that matter.

You're talking about a 30 luk sauna robe, and while that is good when you're lower level, when you're level 80 and you have about lets say 300 luk (Might be low, but whatever) and you get a level 80 top with something like 10% luk that is 30 luk right there. And that is just on the top, if you get 10% luk on the bottom you'll have 60 bonus luk.

And as you get higher level that 20% bonus is going to add more and more and more.

There are other threads where users have asked where the weapons come from on SP. There's a thread on SW general with that EXACT QUESTION right now. There have been hundreds of said threads on basil for weeks.

However, (let's say if i cap DEX at 70, which most likely I will if I continued my normal dex dual blader), compared to 25 DEX for being dexless, that's an extra 45 AP that can go into LUK. That means by going dexless, on top of my sauna robe, pendant, and whatever equips, I can get an extra 45 LUK. So that means, if I continued being normal dex, I am basically trading that 45 LUK for some (supposedly) 10% potential. From your example, you said that is about 30 LUK. Well, 45 LUK > 30 LUK.

And 10% luk potential sounds expensive. Personally, I wouldn't be able to afford that.

Well, 55 LUK > 30 LUK.

Except for the fact that your 30 luk sauna will always be a 30 luk sauna, however a 10% top won't always be 30 luk, as you level more and put more into luk that top is going to be more powerful than your sauna could ever hope to be.

A perfect sauna is 60 luk, however with 20% you could get from both a 10% top and 10% bottom that would be 60 luk if you had 300 luk. As you add more the bonus becomes more, when you have 500 luk you'll have a total of 100 bonus luk from your top and bottom while your sauna will still be 60 luk.

Now the EXTRA component to consider is 45 LUK from AP vs 10% potential (another 30 LUK)

FROM THAT, its 45 LUK > 30 LUK.

Sauna robe can only get 1 bonus on it, and the max % it can get on it is 3. A level 80 top can get up to 3 bonuses on it, the max being 9%.

It'll explain better than I can. But being statless nowadays will only take you so far, most people agree it's best to go lowstat or normal.

Hmm, well I guess you're right in the long run, (comparing the end result of both dexless and normal build with perfect equips), normal build will have a bit higher damage range. I write guides. People PM me with questions EVERY DAY. There is a difference between thinking someone is dumb for asking questions, and thinking someone is dumb for not searching before asking.

Do they really? Other than magicians I don't think statless will suck at all. Warriors wont have much need for acc which makes dex useless to add points in, bowmen can easilly get the str for bows/crossbows from gear alone. Thieves and pirates are a little more tricky, but its hardly impossible to use level 120 weapons with lowest possible base secondary stat. Not to mention if the VIP weapons are possible to get without selling your soul to jebus, that will totally and utterly crush regular stat chars pre- and post big bang. It's a shame, I was so happy with the potential systems way of promoting higher lvl gear. It wasn't enough though.

Can you explain why this is, or if there's a thread that explains it can I get a link to it? I just made a brand new Fighter, Brawler and Bandit and I wouldn't want to decide on a stat build and it turn out to be a bad decision in the near future
