El nath Castle

Then I got to the end.. so disappointing.

Yeah, since that was the only real thing (other than World Tour) and even WT isnt the same, that actually time travels (and Im not going to mention Neo City because thats a rip off scam of an Original, Better JMS World Tour.)
Keeping on topic, I think that it had great potential because it even had its own classification.

I remember when some people actually speculated that the castle would be the "Guild PQ" Castle, due to the similarity, but oh well. Hopefully Nexon will actually use it for something, instead of just setting it up only to cancel it later down the road.
#23
The "castle" is already used for Zakum's Altar. I'm pretty sure that Zakum's Altar is directly underneath the castle, because various quests (not sure if it's Alcaster's or the Robiera's) actually state that the people of El Nath worshipped Zakum until it turned on them. Where do you worship? In a temple. What's the "castle" shaped like?

Besides, what else would that castle be doing around in El Nath? I really doubt that the Nexon team conceived of the Black Mage when they were still designing El Nath years ago.

Yeah, I mean seriously, there are so many NPCs there that are being unused. It doesn't even make any sense to even bother wasting your manpower starting an area, to never finish it.

What does elin forest look like now in kMS anyways? o.o Does it still have unfinished paths?

Yeah, the dead ends are still there, and most of the maps have become multi-platformed.

How did I miss this thread.wtp....See my thread...Sorry

As far as the temple worshipping goes, why not allow the castle to be accessed? It'd be great to kick the ass of the Zakum worshippers that intend to bring Zakum back from the grave and create chaos zakum(hey at least it would give a good reason for chaos zakum!).

I think that being a dark mages lair would be far too inconvenient, what good is a cult of Zakum worshippers to the black mage? I'll bet even the black wings are probably useless pawns in his game, he'd be better off in Magita where the technology is the best(idk about Edelstine).

Or what if it could be the remains of some lord that ruled the land of Elnath for awhile, but it is now the leftovers and is haunted by the dead spirits of all the lords family members? Que pshyco Alice parody magical massacre!

I think this castle has potential, I would totally love to see it used to it's fullest. But not like CWK, I love the CWK music, but that wouldn't fit the atmosphere I'd hope for in Elnath.

There are no living "Zakum worshippers". How can I explain this...

The people of El Nath (or whatever town preceded it) discovered something valuable to mine in the mountains. doesn't specify what to my knowledge but it's probably something generic like Gold. Anyway, as they established a mining area up in the mountains, it eventually grew into a town of its own. However, the mines became less fruitful, and they had to dig deeper and deeper. They could just as easily have quit mining, but the townspeople were greedy and didn't want to give up their source of riches. I believe they were warned to stop but continued anyway. As they kept digging, they at last pierced through the volcanic heart of the mountain, where a terrible demonic tree had been sealed. Because of the miners' greed, the demonic tree was able to whisper to them, to manipulate their minds. They began worshipping the tree as a god, and it convinced them to build a statue in its' honor. By the time the statue was completed, Zakum's power had grown so great that he was able to inhabit it, and subsequently wiped out the surviving townspeople and destroyed the town. The Zombies at the top of El Nath are the... "Survivors" of Zakum's attack. You can think of the Dead Mine scrolls as return scrolls originally aimed at that town, but it no longer exists.

unfortunately that information is spread out across the game, vast gaps of levels apart. Granted i spiced it up a bit, but that is the real story of Zakum.

Busy with life? Not really liking the members here? (He said that many times) But I don't see what his storytelling has to do with him being an Admin, it's not like Issac is the only one who can tell good Maple Stories.

He's just one of the few that actually cares enough to do so.

Where did the tree come from and how did it come to be sealed?

Id wager Balrog put Zakum there after he brought it from Hell to hold dominian over that area of the world. Thats my thought on it. Pure speculation except the bit of dialouge Balrog has. I think he said he had ruled the world at one point?

Points to BalrogPQ.
Could be possible. Big Balrog may have like, planted the tree there.

No, they're real. If you read what the quest NPCs say instead of skipping. Otherwise, you might make up a story on your own. Biggrin

Uh, dude, did you even read his post? He didn't say they weren't real, he said they weren't living anymore.

Getting cocky because of a thread you made with no proof and someone coming up with proof later? Yet you're going around saying you're right even though you aren't the first person to have this idea?

Wow. . . just wow.
