JMS - Evan and Dual Blade (Another Story)
|
|
This was the proof we needed.
After this, any Maple Version proves to be able to change things, and make it's own areas without being country-themed. JMS has done things unrelated to Jipang a few years ago, the Mushroom Training Camp, MTS, 1.25x EXP. But this, this is much bigger than anyone has ever expected. JMS is not 100% following KMS orders and is making it's own decisions now. They did change Kerning Square completely, that still leaves a spot for Taipei 101 to be implemented. Making Kerning Square their own area with a different storyline. Looks like they don't want to remove World tour and put the substitutes from KMS. At least, i hope this means something. That soon, regional versions will be able to make it's own areas connected to Maple World, and not being obligated to show their culture in such areas. GMS has already stepped on such way, making that tutorial. Sincerely, i'm hoping for MS versions to make their own decisions now, instead of always doing what KMS orders.

The only culture-themed content that KMS has ever developed is Mu Lung and i'm not even sure if that one counts. As for the "hope" for other MS branches to stop following KMS steps and mold their content, I don't agree with it. KMS always developes content while being carefully of not generating unbalance, while look at GMS and all their money draining strategies. They kept dark scrolls from dropping from monsters and turned them into Gachapon only, Vega scrolls, vicious hammers (KMS had these to drop from monsters), they made Evan a pay to play class and we don't know yet about dual blader, Gachapon boxes, CS surprises, and so on. MsSEA isn't too different from GMS. JMS always makes great storylines but as far as I know, players of KMS here complain about them Nerfing any good content that they get from KMS. Instead of each branch working separatedly from each other. They all should get closer and work together for the sake of this game.

I said that MS branches may be able to make their own content, not being exclusively related to their culture, like 90% of the areas made by MS versions other than KMS are. Vicious Hammers dropping from monsters?! LOL, where did you get that from?! Regarding Dark Scrolls, it was KMS that turned them Pigmy only if you don't know. KMS nerfed every single drop from Zipangu, and nerfed the experience for monsters there, Crows are 75 EXP in JMS, Foxes are 101 EXP and Dark Foxes are healable. All monsters in Jipang originally drop Dark Scrolls, KMS nerfed every single thing in there, making Takoyakis 8 attack instead of 20, and even making potions from there untradable. Or did you just thinks GMS ruined all the Jipang area completely? Also... I don't remember about an area JMS nerfed from KMS, sincerely. The only areas i remember they nerfed or changed were CWK, Mount Soung and Hall of the Great Sage from CMS, turning the last one training worthy. Or do you think a 100k HP 2k EXP monster is worth for training? Or a 16k touch damage 300k HP 8k exp monster? As far as i know, those weren't made by KMS. About players complaining about everything, well... How do you think the steriotype that JMS is a slug in getting content, is ruled by a company with programmers that can't fix anything was built up? I remember of seeing a huge ragequit drama after each single mistake from Nexon Japan, i'm not impressed that steriotype still exists now. A few players have been acting with such an hipocryte way of thinking even before fourth job was out. Hating, hating and hating when they got nothing after a patch, and demonstrating an eternal love after they get a good thing. They've been acting like that a lot of years ago, it's the same thing for Nexon haters from GMS. People were always saying things like that. Whatever, it'd better to discuss if you have been more specific. Regardless, i don't remember of any areas nerfed from KMS, i may be wrong, but my memory is not perfect as i wanted it to be. It's okay if you don't agree with what i said. I'm trying to believe that MS versions would become more independant than they are now. And even may be able to take their own decisions. No one needs to think like that.

The fact JMS has done so much of its own content and going about content from other regions in different ways is enough compensation for 7 months of events. Really, a new Dual Blade story and slightly-redone Evan story? That's incredible! I just wish Nexon America didn't throw away Masteria, since it was the thing that made GMS different than the parent version of Maple. If Nexon Japan were to actually extend on their own version of Masteria I'd rather have the JMS version, since exploring new areas is always fun. Kudos to Nexon Japan.

Evan is not slightly redone, DB and Evan stories are now supposed to be connected. They are rivals :O

Yea, really, Evans and Dual Bladers are rivals!
After paying attention to the interview, they reveal the storyline that connects those when the website asks why to release both jobs if they have nothing to do with each other. " Dual Bladers, citizens of a Ninja themed hometown were attacked by the Black Mage, and it's home has been destroyed. Evan, who was working to the black mage, was said to be the leader of the army that attacked their homeland. Now, Dual blades want vengeance agains't the ones who destroyed their town. Evans and Dual Bladers are rivals." Remember when Evan joins the Black Mage in early levels? Things now make sense. While Evans are working for the Black Mage, Dual Bladers are trying to locate him and fight for vengeance agains't the incident on their hometown. Lolwut Nexon. |
