Now is it actually doing that damage or is it just graphical, like the damage MM see when using att arrows isnt the same as what others see.

Savage Blow's top and bottom hits do same damage

I have the same thing happening to me at Chief Memory Guardians using my Blood Dagger...first and fifth hits are the same, noncrit or crit, with the Critical Ring.
While using the Lilin's Ring 3, my first and sixth hits are the same. EDIT:I asked a friend to come over, and he sees identical numbers as well.

Could it have to do with STR daggers vs LUK daggers?
I agree, this is strange.

Okay, Loose and I did some testing, and we found these out:
Others see the same pattern as the user. LUK and STR daggers both do it.(Used Cass and Reef) Whether or not a shield is equipped does not matter. It occurs whether you are a STR or LUK Bandit. I may be forgetting some, but these are the big ones.

The thing is, in order to calculate damage from an attack, Maple generates some random numbers.
There's an upper limit to the amount it will generate (I think it's about 6 per attack). After that, it just loops back to the start of the array. I guess cause generating random numbers is relatively expensive, and they don't want to just keep throwing in more and more. So, on an attack that needs a lot of random numbers (eg. SB + crits) you end up with 2 of the hits using the same random numbers. (like, 0.2837423 and 0.1289285). Which calculate out to the same damage, repeated. I dunno why level of dagger would affect that though. Also happen to have a pic of TT doing the same damage while in darkness...

Im using lvl 1 SB right now on KMS, and ive noticed a few things. For most hits, top and bottom will be the same. If those two are not the same, usually one number within the hits will match the bottom number.
Now with criticals, there is almost never top and bottom matches. With 2 criticals in the hit, the bottom ends up matching another usually. |
