Don't poke it too far and it's safe. If you dig far enough to feel the "flaps" that lear into the deep part of your ear then you're too far. Even going that far with a cotton swab is dangerous.

wth?
I chew pens alot and etc.
Since I have an ID at school, I constantly bite off the beads on the string chain. I bite it, it cracks, keep it in my mouth a bit, then spit it out, usually into my bookbag. I have enough decency not to spit bead pieces on the floor.
If I don't have that,
I will chew pens till/past the point they are warm (from friction or something, the plastic is basically melting). I even bite those clear hard plastic pens.
I bite so hard half the time think breaks, and I, like the beads, I spit it out somewhere.
And so, this is why people don't ask me for pens or pencils.
On a nice, clean surface when everyone's not looking at me, I practice my moonwalk.
Also, I take the long way around to my classes at school or try to get a bit of movement in class to register more steps on my Pokewalker. Sometimes, when I'm waiting for the late bus and have nothing to do, I run laps around the school to register even more steps while I read manga on my iTouch.

My bf does, and I do mean COMPULSIVELY...and I find it weird
~I run my left fingertips over my left eyebrow when I'm agitated/nervous.
~I can [and do] crack every joint in my body - including my toes - at least twice a day, but always right before going to bed.
~When I eat cereal I suck all the milk out of every bite before chewing it.
~The more I think about this the more I find could list and it makes me scared, so Imma STFU >.>''
Whenever I'm eating candy featuring more than one flavor, I arrange them by color on whatever surface is available. I then push one of each flavor to one side, and, depending on the candy, stack them into a spectrum. I do this to at least 1/3rd of the available candies.

This happens when my dog licks the base of my thumb, on the top side of my palm. I always gotta get away then cause it makes me feel weird, though I know it isn't because I have feelings for my dog. (I'm damn sure I don't have those types of feelings for a dog!)
Spideyjvc Wrote:No, I use hair pins. Whats strange is that it feels good, so sometimes I clean my ears when they're not even dirty just to feel the pin scrape around in there.
You are not alone. Works much better than a q tip too.
