What's going on at Toyota is awful, but it has no effect on most of us. We have a chance and somewhat of an obligation to bring to light Nexon's UNKNOWN negligence. Toyota is already in the spotlight and they're working hard to make the change, and they're paying the price for their pomegranate. Nexon isn't.
Good points though. If this were a Toyota forum and I were driving a Toyota or knew anyone who drives a Toyota and still insisted that Nexon is worse then maybe I'd be in the wrong.

Speak for yourself about Toyota not having a effect on most of us. A lot of people I know had their cars recalled as a result of their debacle.
I'd be really surprised if BofA or Toyota don't make the top worst company list. If Nexon even makes honorable mention, I'd be surprised.

Toyota's not that bad, have you seen the recalls on American cars recently? It's like the Pinto, what, something like 2 people died? And then it has a huge negative reputation. More people die from drunk drivers than any car recall I remember.

Hey guys, I know there are many Knights of Maple, no pun intended, but I like Toyota, as for those who are throwing around the YOU SO IGNANT BEEZY here is some information that you may find interesting.
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=2...QgmSFrg58A
TL R Ford has more deaths than Toyota. In fact, all of those car companies have more deaths than Toyota has since it was made!
http://articles.latimes.com/2010/feb/28/...-2010feb28
TL R Most of the deaths were ZOMG FREAK ACCIDENTS. No one tried neutral + E brake! A CHP officer, the one who made this "official", did not even know to put it into neutral and E brake. What is a CHP officer? CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL. I live in california, and I think it HILARIOUS that he did not know that, so before calling others IGNANT you should learn to read. Btw I live in California so maybe I just know more about it than you do.
http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-to...8570.story
I live an hour away from San Diego, which happens to be where THIS GUY had the same problem with an LOL PRIUS! If you are not familiar with this story, read it it's self explanatory.
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story...eedfetcher
Tidbit of info for you guys.
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinio...61597.html
"In the 24 cases where driver age was reported or readily inferred, the drivers included those of the ages 60, 61, 63, 66, 68, 71, 72, 72, 77, 79, 83, 85, 89—and I’m leaving out the son whose age wasn’t identified, but whose 94-year-old father died as a passenger.
These “electronic defects” apparently discriminate against the elderly, just as the sudden acceleration of Audis and GM autos did before them. (If computers are going to discriminate against anyone, they should be picking on the young, who are more likely to take up arms against the rise of the machines and future Terminators).
But Toyota is being mau-maued by Democratic regulators and legislators in the pockets of trial lawyers—who, according to the Associated Press, stand to make a billion dollars from blaming Toyota for driver error."
I'll be blunt here (to a certain someone), you should read this and know that you might as well NOT drive a car if you worry about your safety. You should read this http://www.soyouwanna.com/site/toptens/a...sfull.html
NO WAI, WHAT'S NUMBERO UNO? Then tell me you are "worried" about your safety. I commute to school an hour to and from (meaning 2 hours a day!) every weekday in a Toyota and I have been for a year now =]
Oh an I submitted mine, hope this works

I don't know how this became a Toyota vs Nexon thread, but okay. Despite Toyota's action are definitely more severe in terms of security and safety of the consumers, what's more important than crying about what has happened is how the company deals with what happens. Toyota's recalled before for their brake problems and their accelerator problem. That's may not be look nice upon them because people have lost trust in them but at least they are blaming the problems on their drivers. With Nexon, rather than admitting their fault just blames it on their players - you guys are sharing accounts, that's why you're getting hacked. You guys are playing private servers, that's why you got hacked. Nexon hides their faults and what's worse is that they dump the blame on their consumers. Toyota does not. That's why Nexon is worse than Toyota.

You're so on the Nexon Love Train it sickens me.
Granted, Toyota's mistake was of a more serious nature, it's the first time they've had such a problem and are doing everything in their power to fix the situation. The vote is not for company mistake that cost more lives, it's for worst company, period.
Toyota is a car manufacturer, so of course if they make a major mistake, it's going to involve car accidents, injuries and in the worst cases, death. However, Toyota communicated with their customers, owned up to the problem, recalled the cars, and are doing everything they can to regain the people's trust and the company's good image. Nexon, on the other hand, makes a mistake every other week, ignores it or fixes it 6 months later (of course ruining something else in the process) and has a terrible customer service overall. If Nexon was a car manufacturer, they'd blame the accelerator problem on the drivers for sharing their car s and send car air fresheners to half of the families who lost someone in an accident.

But I don't think Nexon is the worst company in America.

What good will it do to you?
If you hate nexon with all your heart quit the game already and uninstall everything maple related
by complaining that nexon is bad will only make the maple community worse and eventually close down, which is lose-lose to everyone

Alright, let's make this a little simpler for those of you who don't get it.
If you want to make a difference, then vote.
If you don't, don't vote. It's as simple as that. No one cares about your reasoning for not voting, and if you want to vote for another company, by all means go ahead.
And if Nexon does close down because they're forced to WORK WELL and TAKE RESPONSIBILITY then that might be a shame but it's still better than what they're currently doing. And any company who'd rather close their doors then provide real customer service isn't a company that should exist.

If nexon's reputation goes to the shyt less new players will be comming in, + pissed off old players will quit therefore result in an overall loss in players and inactive community = a bad community

I don't think complaining about Nexon is going to drive away new players. Hopefully, Nexon will become motivated to do better as a company if they end up on Consumerist's list.

To be perfectly honest, I'd like to see this work out, whether Nexon will man up and get their pomegranate right or get flushed down a toilet in China will please me equally. But I don't think the tiny userbase of us forum regulars is going to make a significant voice, we're the "vocal minority" after all.
I'd try when it doesn't hurt to try. Right now I'll have to look around since I have little idea how to submit my nomination, it's going to be a butthurt.

I would honeslty love to agree with you on Nexon being the worst company, but sadly I've played Trickster Online which was run by Ntreev. They were leagues worse than Nexon.

why not?
Let's say a new gamer just started mmo and don't know which games to play...and did a google search on company reputation, of course he will pick the company with the better reputation
and to be honest, like every other company in the world nexon wouldn't give a flying shyt about their reputation, all they care is money (this is human nature sadly), so in the end bashing nexon will hurt its current player and community more than any other group

Also, less people would mean a more tightly-knit community, right?
Anyways, I voted for Nexon because it's how the manage themselves as a company, not much by their products. Like others have said, imagine if Nexon was a car manufacture, just to compare it with Toyota. Imagine if Nexon was a bank, to compare it to others. How Ford act if it was running a game, similar to MapleStory, Combat Arms, etc?

Do you really think people were in those servers to be part of the community? Hell no, they wanted to train leech their way up using 3 week 2x! Never mind you can barely boss once you get there without someone else...
(Yes, exceptions to the rule exist. But how many of those are there?)
OT: I wouldn't rate Nexon as the worst company, but they certainly could improve a lot. Toyota is better than them by a lot
