BasiMarket needed to roll a natural 20 on their Gather Information check at SOME point. (No I kid. It's definitely something to see Basil having significant information that may actually help determine who the hackers may be.)

Have a strong moral code and you should have nothing to worry about. Though I'm unsure how the server handles our information, it's just stupid to include our userIDs in in-game transaction logs, seeing as one ID can have up to 6 free igns, which directly perform the transactions and thus matter. What purpose does "ID3243546 purchased item#4355635" serve?

If you really do want to buy something from these shops, I do suggest being careful since I suppose anything can happen. Just purchase the item with an FM mule and transfer it over to your main later. Yay--hacker foiled.

I think this thread just goes to show how ridiculously paranoid everyone has become recently.

I never entered one before getting hacked, but I've gone into them plenty of times since and nothing yet.

Its pretty obvious the hacker(s) are the one(s) setting them up though.

They're liquidating the hacked items. You can't get hacked through the shops. Besides, these are coming afterwards like most have said. They've spawned from the mass hackings, not the other way around.

Yeah, it's easier for the hackers to sell mesos for $$$ than to sell equipment so they need to offload it. And at the rate they're hacking people they need to get rid of a lot of equipment fast.

I've seen these shops spring up in Mardia. Are you sure it's not just some new meme going around? Is there any hardcore evidence pointing to the accusations floating around in this thread?

Nope, it was just a thought I was having based on the info in the basil thread, and that the shops recently had changes made to them.

They are nothing but a guild of players benefiting from the certain guild that is notorious for illegit things. I'm sure they are the ones who are checking the thousands of info's they have access too.

The items for sale in "Acura Cheap" shops aren't exactly the best items out there. They could be anyone's shit. I could be lying about where they're from or the shops might not belong to a hacker. Plus, I'm not going to hesitate to buy crap like 10 Atk WGs for 50m (example), or any sort of common cheap crap like that. As for your opinion- I could care less- not my problem people are getting hacked.

If you have access to a permit and you have enough to buy something cheap that's easily resellable, you would be stupid not to buy it. Buying items for mesos, an in-game currency, is not against the TOS or rules or anything. Is it wrong morally? Is some maple saint going to buy them and return the items to their rightful owner? No! 99.99% of the items will be purchased by a merchant and resold for profit.
