The U.S. does have 57 divisions at least. 50 states+Guam, American Samoa, the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Northern Mariana Islands is just a few of the many territories it has. China and the US are two vastly different economies, comparing the two isn't useful for anything.
On a similar note, the US doesn't artificially keep the USD at a certain value to promote growth, like China does.

China is socialist. It makes decision based on democracy from representitives from each nation. China have 56 Nation, where 1 nation have 91% of the population, if China were democratic, then the other 55 Nation would be fuucked.

Currently 2/56 nation have some problem or "corruption" you call it, that's much less than the number of states in the US that have gay rights issues.
