Adventurer rings were nerfed again.

Well Marksmen have their DPS muddled up by Snipe's non-percent based damage. I don't feel right saying anything about Aran when I don't know their attack speeds nor attack pattern (FB or no?). And I don't care about mages nearly enough to talk about them. I try not to present information that I'm unsure of. Besides, everyone knows where BMs and NLs stand on the list, so they can be easily related to.

Poast for you

I wonder if the person who's designing this critical stuff really knows how criticals work. Nexon's been really obsessed with adding random effects to equipment, and it looks like they just threw on criticals here thinking that it would affect all classes equally.

TamilTiger1 Wrote:Why couldn't they release these before Arans? lol these make Lilin's ring completely useless =_= They even have better hp boost. They're adding so many hp items that HP requirement for HT is so easy to achieve now as ranged classes.

Isn't this still really broken for those classes with base critical already? This makes BM do 65% crit and NLs do 75% does it not?

Lilin's ring was made to draw people into making Arans, and now they're trying to draw cygnus/aran-making newcomers to start making adventurers with this ring. It's kind of like with cygnus' blessing. Plus, it's unfair for those who start after the Aran ring event because they'll never be able to get the ring.

Sooo I have to lvl my BM to lvl 168 O_O that's gonne take years... Time to make a lv 51 mule... They're tradeble once in an account right?

Wondering this, too. Here's to hoping they trade like the Aran rings.

Is it still possible to equip all 3 rings on one character? You can get multiple by leveling multiple adventurers on one account right? Also i assume aran and cygnus are not incapable of equiping these right?

You can only equip 1 per character. Yes aran and cygnus can equip them. Yes you can ge tmore than one of them

Isn't this also for limited time only? Really sucks for people with multiple characters when they make these limited time... I guess they really want us to use up all the 15 character slots and keep making new characters =_=

Yea, they're tradeable once with storage.

Hm, I have a quick question about these rings in regards to Archers.

Is the cruel ring or critical ring better? Would I be right in assuming that the critical ring is better due to having an additional 5% crit bonus over the cruel ring, despite having 10% less crit damage and 1 less WA?

The answer is really the difference between continuing with my Hunter and starting a Crossbowman soon, and restarting my Hunter and making my Crossbowman when the rings get to GMS.

(Now, some of you are probably wondering why I'd bother making a Crossbowman despite how lolweak they may be. It's because...
1: By the time these rings get to GMS, we'll likely know what the next Legend is like, assuming the next Legend really is Archer-based
2: I enjoy playing Archers, damn it. Heck, I played a Hunter before 4th job existed and loved every minute of it. In Scania, no less, which was - and probably still is, but I really don't want to check - land of the Sins and Hermits.)

I believe the critical ring is better for(passive) base crit classes o_O

and i find it funny how the magical ring helps buccaneers a lot Smile

I'm wondering that if you already have a character made before this event starts, and then reach Lv. 50 on it, do you get the ring? I'm asking because I still have my Lv.45 Gunslinger sitting there and this event might be a good reason to start leveling it again. I think that having 10% crit rate on slightly weaker crits is better for more stable damage(lol) and the coolness factor, as well as helping skills with a low damage percentage.

With SE a non-base crit class gets a 37.5% per hit boost from the critical ring(34% for the cruel ring). Seems good enough for me.

Hmmmm interesting.... very interesting.... Will these crit rates be additive like SE (aka if i have the 10% crit damage @ 10% crit rate ring on will my cannons do dun dun dun dun 10% more damage (if you have a 7K range u would do liek 700 mroe damage) or will it be multiplicative and add the exact same ammount of damage.. wow just realized im slow...

..

..

ANYWAYS ....
these rings wont really add to much damage for a non-critting class, liek ya take a corsair with the 10% chance 10% damage ring... even with a base max damage of like 10,000 the most it would add would be what... 1K damage on a crit? wow....... thats friggin epic... i wouldnt even wear the rings for the crit, the 2 or 3 attack it adds would be better overall DPS wise 2 attack @ about a 10 K range would add near 40 damage (if i recall correctally) take 80 X 3.8 and BAM 304 Per cannonball 1216 Per attack and if the crit was 10% u'd only hit it one out of ever 10 cannon balls... so the 2 attack alone would add over 3K damage in just 10 cannonball strikes where as the crit would only add like 1 K in that respective timeframe

just more things to think of ~ now if u can HAVE 2 of these rings at a time, u could be looking @ holding the 3 atack ring for training and the higher crit rate rings for bossing to be mixed with SE

heh I find it funny that you have to justify playing a crossbow as if you think everyone in this forum is going to go "LOL WAT Y U PLEY XBOW SO WEAK U NUB" but in reality xbows have a better 2nd and 3rd job than hunters/rangers.

>.> but how long are you in 2nd job and 3rd job if you are even caring about these things or know enough about he game to care... in reality these 2 jobs could be surpassed in a week or 2 without to much trouble

dont know why ppl even bring up 2nd or 3rd job anymore, doing so is almost a moot point when you breeeeeeeze by them with quests, party quests, mini dungeons, and yess even leeching. and for the most part anyone into maple enough and educated enough in maple to have a valid argument either way generally has already past this area of maple and is onto bigger and better things(4th job)

That being said... sure there are some newb noob nubs out there who are like lvl 50 and know some shyt about the game Tongue1

The only people who believe that are the couple of 4th job marksmen who bang there heads against the wall, yell and shout every time someone points out they aren't nearly as weak as they make outRolleyes

So Crit ring it is then, I guess.

It's a lot less thinking what everyone else on this forum is going to think, and a lot more "what kind of reactions am I going to get in-game?" On a ride to Orbis today, there was this Paladin who attracted tons of attention from just about everyone else on the flight. The attention was mostly the awe, respect, and GO MURDER CRIMSON BALROGS type of positive, except for a few kids that insulted him with the type of horrible grammar and reasoning that can murder brain cells.

Yeah, I'd like to see you try to breeze through 2nd and 3rd job that quickly when you're starting over in a new server, completely unfunded with no NX.

It is a proven fact that the awe you command in game is directly proportional to how rare your class is. Some people have never even heard of Paladins. You're not gonna see that many people staring in awe at a NL except if he does like 40k per star without an apple.

Sounds like leecher mentality to me.

Also it was pretty obvious that she was talking about 2nd job.
