ahh yeah when i first started playing i was attracted to the hammer
because it has so much RAWR power and it was beast
but then id get nailed by somet cuz i was either slow or had no defense
so i moved to GS bcuz it had good power and u can defense
but then i wanted more! so i tried LS which i love
then online we were fighting the rathlos n rathian so
i switched to gunner because i enjoyed takeing them out the sky and when
my team m8s hp was low but they were to busy to drink
id fire them hp rounds.
so im a go for Hammer and gun lance for now and see how it goes

I'm only using 3 sets right now for combat:

-Azure Rathalos armor (main armor, equipped with all Attack + Fierce Jewels, it's over like 28+ att combined)
-Pink Rathian armor (only use this when I goof off, but I unequip the helm since it's ugly)
-Tigrex armor (I use this when I go in the Volcano area, since my stamina decreases a lot. With the skills of the Tigrex armor, I can 'eat' steaks faster)

For weapons of choice, I'm using mostly longswords. I've been using an Eager Cleaver. Even with that, I can still down an Azure Rathalos in less than 20 minutes since I always aim for the tail 1st, then head (break that off) and then keep hitting it until the 10 min mark is up, then break wings, then aim head again, etc.

Do you ever make an armour bcuz it looks cool?
atm im trying to get the basarios set bcuz it looks funky
and im starting to get in to hammers.....i like the way you can stun sumet
and im trying to kill/repel kushala daora on 4* quests aha
i ran at it then i kept getting knocked of ma feet..it doesent look hard
but it was that wind thingy tht annoyd me!
is there any armour at my low rank that can have wind res or sumet?

Actually, no. Best thing you can do is forge (lol), Poison Throwing Knives, poison the mutherf'ucker, and rape his ass while his wind ability is disabled. After 25:00, if you did enough damage, he'll fly away, and you'll clear the quest. After that, you should do the same, rinse and repeat, finally slaying it.

If you're into hammers, watch a couple of youtube vids about Hammer usage, there are some really good ones out there. Also, 3 hammers I recommend at your point:

- Crystal Hammer
- Raven Torrent (30% Affinity? F'UCK YEAH)
- Anvil Hammer (this is the best one, but you need 2 Gravios shells... If you manage to slay a Gravios with a friend, carve it and bingo, 884 atk ~ Green sharpness hammer).

As regards armors because they look cool... For example, I don't like the Tigrex set, its stats and abilities don't appeal to me... But on males it looks cool as f'uck. The Basarios set can be easily replaced for an upgraded Hermitaur set (way easier to forge), or a Rathalos/Rathian/Azure Rathalos/Pink Rathian set, which look cool (imo).

In any other stuff we can help, be welcome.

I have NO clue how to find Hercudromes, bro. Still at HR3. I slayed like a couple Gravios this morning, the guild Gravios quest is significantly harder because the Gravios is at Swamp, which means MOTHEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRR .... FCKING CONGAS JUMPING OUT AT YOU WHILE YOU'RE TRYING TO SNIPE AT THE GRAVIOS, MAKES ME RAAAAAAAGE LIKE A FCKER. (@$U(%$*)(@%*%*)*(!!!!!!!!!!!!@!O#(@)#(!!)

But yeah. Get the Azure-Rathalos or Rathalos armor, you won't regret it. At the beginning of the game, full Rathalos armor = impossible, as you cannot get the wings (need it to forge helmet...). But with the full Rathalos armor, you can have auto-tracker. However, with Azure-Rathalos armor, you lose that autotracker ability for Hearing-Protection, which is bad-ass too. Helps against Tigrex, Rathalos, Rathian, Congalala, etc.

I maxed my Azure Rathalos armor to the point in which I have to use Hard Armor Spheres in able to max them all out. Total def is about 308 iirc. I also make armors that looks like, like the 'pink' Vespoid outfit, which I only wear if I'm playing around, such as on gathering-quests.

i use bow gun for the Basarios which is surprisingly easy
never been killed by it yet!
yeah rathian n rathalos are just about killable for meh

I use that Melynx Ragdoll against him, lets me fire rapid-shots with Normal S LV1, infinite ammo + 5 shot per bullet, meh. That and it has a VERY FAST reload time with a Light recoil.

Ok, new plan. For the "GUILD QUEST" Gravios, and I repeat, Guild Quest Gravios, which is 5-STAR quest labelled as "Valor in the Swamp", the Gravios for this quest is GIGANTICALLY HUGE, and much tougher than the occasional Gravios, due to the fact that it is a Guild Quest.

I decided for a change of pace, and used a different gun. Here's my armor set with weapon along with decorations to give me the following skills:

-High Wind Resistance
-Reloading Speed +1

Attack: 213

Long Barrel (for added attack and range)
Recoil: Moderate

Description: Bowgun made from the shell of a King Lobster. Capable of Rapid Fire with Water S
Slots: - - -

Helm: Rathalos Soul Helm (+1 expert, + 4 attack, -2 protection, + 3 Hear Protect)
Chest: Diablos Vest D (+2 reload, -1 hunger, +4 wind press, -2 fate)
Gloves: Diablos Guards D ( +2 reload, -1 hunger, +5 wind press, -3 fate)
Bottom: Diablos Coat D (+3 reload, -2 hunger, +3 wind press, -3 fate)
Shoes: Diablos Leggings D (+2 health, +3 reload, -2 hunger, +3 wind press, -1 fate)

K, let me explain something FIRST. The armor set already GIVES reload, and windpress. By adding in some jewels, I managed to get 2 abilities, which I already stated above. For Gravios, just bring along the following:

Pierce Lv1, Pierce Lv2, Pierce Lv3 (not necessary), Normal Lv1 (infinite ammo, MUST BRING), Normal Lv2 + Lv3, Water S (60 of them!!!), 10 Huskberry, 10 Knife Mackerels, 10 potions, 10 mega potions, 10 herbs, 10 mushrooms, 10 well-done steaks.

THAT'S ALL YOU NEED. If you want to use traps, so be it. I only had to use 1 Shock Trap on the fcker. Start out with Water-S, once it runs out, COMBINE ALL YOUR KNIFE MACKERELS + HUSKBERRIES LIKE A CRAZY MOTHERFCKER AND SPAM MOAAAAAR ON HIM. Aim only at his BOTTOM CHEST area. It can BREAK TWICE. You'll notice as you can see his underlying skin. Once it's a huge GAP, you know it broke twice. Once you're out of that sh't, start chasibng the fcker down and then aim all of your Pierce bullets on the fcker, same area, once again. By the time you're down with ALL your Pierce shots, he should be near limping, or limping, period! Finish the fcker off with Normal S Lv3, or wait til he gets near you, Shock Trap, then Tranq. Took him down in 25 mins via Guild Quest.

Hope that helps. >_> I just tested that out 5 mins ago. ;D For forging the gun, it's like.. 3 small lobstershells, plesioth fins.. and some other crap that's easy to get. Small Lobstershells can be gotten from either Plesioth, or from killing uhhhhh that giant blue Ceanataur. HR4, HERE I COME, DIE FCKING SHEN GAOREN, JAJAJAJA!

Small update, I beated Shen Gaoren using the full Azure Rathalos armor (and I take it back, it's +24 att total with the armor and jewels, not near 30, I thought it was.. huh.)! I also used the Blango Decimator, which gives Ice element. It has 200 attack more than my fire-elemental sword, so I used this instead. I slammed att 4 of his legs, shut him down, and started tapping triangle like crazy til my bar got full, then tapped "R" like mad at his face once he fell down, rinse and repeat. Once the clock hits 0:00, he retreated. Surprisingly, I thought it was going to be a failure, because the quest info says that "Mission Failure" if the clock hits 0, the fortress goess down to 0%, or I die 3 times or whatever. Surprisingly, I beated the fcker! ^_^ Now HR4!

PS: Also, I noticed why my DEF was 307 last time with the Azure Rathalos Armor, it was because I was holding onto an Armorcharm, I forgot to put it back into my inven. Oops. No wonder my def went down. With the Powercharm + Armor charm, my stats are:

Attack: 796
Defense: 307

im doing pretty damn good now!
i have full kushla set cephalos S set velociprey S (gunners)
and the shniobi moon. hypno S. rembora set guardian s and u vambraces!
got the onslaught hammer and loads of other killer weaopns!
dont know how to get eltilite ores but me and my mate are on g rank higher!
