I'm Worried for GMS

just dont want zak helms 2 and 3 to be the only ones that are usable...

If all versions have to add every thing in kms wouldn't they have to remove everything removed according to your theory?

Which is harder to do?

Take a premade dish you bought in the store and add your own spices to it, or take that same premade dish and remove spices from it?

Easier to apply more than to take out.

Lets say you work really REALLY hard prepare a meal for a guest and yourself and you ad your own spices to it. Then lets say the guest doesn't want those spices on his. Because he doesn't like them does he tell you to remove yours?
Now replace the Meal with world tour

As if every version would delete their world tour THEY WORKED HARD ON.
They would probably rather go through the pain of this.

It would force them to not rely on a single NPC to host all the areas that other versions added. KMS was kinda smart in removing it as it made it more connected by having them create an entry method from scratch. Sure, GMS used the ticket machine for NLC, but it actually worked it out to be a part of everything else. Spinnel (or what ever her name is) is an eye sore when its a random person sitting there taking you all over the world.

Thats the whole point of removing Spinnel X_X it forces that contents creator to rethink how the player gets to the area that has been added. With Zipangu, they could easily have a connection from KFT, or something. The way it is now puts everything in one place and it removes the idea of "touring the world," as you arnt moving much to get there. You click someone, and your there. Thats why NLC and Singapore work, you seemingly travel there by the subway or train.

Your analogy has no bearing on the situation - Nexon America isn't the cook. They're just adding salt and pepper to KMS' dish. They don't have very much say in whether entre is chicken or beef and portion control is about all they have.

Anyhow, you're trying to argue for Nexon based on your expectations of a competent company with no understanding of their underlying distribution model or design framework.

Since we obviously have different information and have drawn different conclusions from that information it's best to just agree to disagree and move on.

I mean this is the same for all MapleStory Server. The Developer (Nexon Korea) simply just copy the data from KMS and distribute to other MapleStory Servers. During the process, the language is being translated and only minor changes are made. It is simply a "copy & paste" process. All Server face this problem as well.

What I don't get about it is that a ton of players are saying that this isn't a KMS-built content, even though it CLEARLY is. Everyone is just saying it's a nerfed version of Future Toukyou. If that's true, it's a version that'll never hit JMS for sure. In fact, I hope it NEVER hits JMS, because two areas with the same exact stuff is too redundant and pointless.

I think KMS is quickly adding all "world tour" content to their version so that their version is different. No one else will get it, and KMS isn't unbalanced because of some things the originals have. (NLC pots, for one)

I would think professional developers in this industry would constantly create source backups so that they can quickly undo any additions that they do, though your point still stands and i think you would know since you're in the business.

It's funny how nearly everyone said Neo Tokyo was pomegranate and they couldn't care less if they got it. Now that Neo City is on the Scene everyone is outraged and the original content must be preserved at all costs! Even though hardly anyone even gave a damn about it in the first place.

If it happens then it happens. We didn't get the same Zipangu as KMS. It was altered so I don't see why we would have to get these new areas. Though GMS hardly even has any world tour so it is probably one of the most likely to follow KMS in this lol.

It would be nice to get the original versions sure but better having the KMS ones than none at all like we currently have.

Once he did, he started telling us of how awesome it is, so now it looks like a great area.
