How Much I've Spent on NX
#21
I think there is nothing wrong with spending your remaining money on MapleStory, after you paid the bills, charitable donations and stuff like that.

I really don't find anything wrong with it, if you're having fun.

I know people who spent well over $8,000 on MapleStory.

I spent about roughly 500-600 a year, when I was most active on MS. But that was 2 years ago. Now I spend 0. Because I quit. That and I realized how much the game sucked. Smile

*Interested*

Could you find that out for me? ^-^

That doesnt surprise me at all.

I know people that spend alot more than that on World of Warcraft and EQ2 so why not MS?

As long as you are having fun and can afford it, who cares Smile

Hm, what do you spend extra money on in those games? Didn't know they had micro-transactions in addition to their monthly charges.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

I want to say currency buying...but even that's a stretch.

I think people spend too much money in general.

Heh, out of 2 years (Which is currently how long i've been playing), I've bought about $300 ~ $500 total NX. Somewhat more then the total amount of a Pay2Play game.

Game Currency, Account purchases, Item purchases. People purchase WAY more on the more popular MMORPG (WoW), regardless of the monthly fee just being $15.

Some accounts will be bought for more then $5000, depending on the equipment, and if it's a decked out (decked = godly in WoW) character, it will go for that much.

QFT.

I've spent a little over 100, maybe 200 in the couple of years that I've been playing this game. My hobbies usually cost a few hundred per year, and so I "technically" saved my money.

Sheesh you people spend a lot of money.

Gold/Items

Ive been selling gold for World of Warcraft and other games for over 10 years now and I have quite a few loyal customers that spend over $25k/yr on games. I dont sell accounts/gear either... I bet a few of those guys can spend $100k in a year.

Because I find single stat classes stupid when the game was specifically designed for secondary stats.

Covering myself in NX clothes to hide the fact I was trapped wearing nub-gear 150 levels below me was pretty stupid sounding too, when I could do it right and wear whatever I wanted.

When both ways were equally capable of 1HKO 99% of the games' mobs it just didn't seem worth it to jump on the "luckless" bandwagon. I still made the #5 slot for Mardia, so clearly it wasn't that big of a disadvantage, and let's face it - Being luckless wouldn't make an archmage any more wanted or useful for the most part, except those brief points where it makes a difference between 1hko and 2hko.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
