The 2x event is a lie

TLX Wrote:So I buy leech for my level 185 magician?

Then go cry to Nexon about it.

Killed the rankings? That is absolute BS; how many people can you name that leeched to 200? Or even 170?

There is no point to buy leech after 140 or so. This has no effect on rankings.

Interesting? You mean boring?

How do the actions of other people affect your gameplay? You think training is fun? Then go train ffs. The fact that other people decide to be efficient and save time does not prevent you from training normally.

Ok, I just did.

If you dont buy, it only means you sell. since you ARE a magician afterall. if leech is bannable, you source of income will crumble. So that is why you support leeching.

ISlapWhale

Level 200 in 7 months. enough said. Sure he trained at some points, but he also leeched HARDCORE to get there.

BombsAway Wrote:Also it inflates equipment costs. Since a whole lot of current 4th jobbers never would have made it there, there'd be a stockpile of high level equipment for cheap.

Completely wrong. If a person spends a ton of mesos buying leech, they will have less to spend on equips.

So what are these "high level" equips that are being inflated?

Facestomper/YSS = level 50
SCG = level 50
Purple/Pink cape = level 50
Zakum helm = level 50
Bathrobe = level 20

Almost all end game armours are low level.

Buying leech = less money to spend = deflation, not inflation

I quit my mage.

Way to make assumptions?

All the pirates that I know in my server stopped leeching at 120~140.

Leeching is slower than training at higher levels. If he leeched more than he trained, he would not have leveled that fast.

Its the fact that any normal person starting a pirate would be level 30-50 on the first day, where as with leeching, a person could be at 120 before anyone else, thus giving them more time to train and keep themselves above everyone else.

Don't believe me? the #1 ranked Cygnus is a 120 Blaze Wiz that got to that level DURING THE DAY IT WAS RELEASED. That goes to show you how pointless rankings are because of the god damn leech system.

NoobEgg. Level 171 beginner. The bit'ch has been leeching ever since it was made. He smega'd about buying leech everyday when I was playing Khaini and even asked to buy leech from my magician from randomly running into me. And this is just a beginner, a job with nothing but a jump key and an attack key. You don't think people wouldn't leech their adventurer characters as far as they can?

Way 2 make a reference to something that is pointless. Yeah.

You don't know many Pirates then.

So....now you're against leeching?

I leeched a level on my marauder. Im having a pretty hard time to train normally now.

Its like cocaine.
oh, and before anyone makes any assumptions, i got a hermit to level 103 and a chief bandit to level 105 without leeching a single bit.

The basic leecher argument is that everybody who DOESNT leech, has to work for their levels while leechers just stand and do nothing. And, then, when theyve leeched to their new level, they complain about how much grinding sucks.

Leechers DO mess up the ranking.
They DO cause inflation and deflation

I cant wait for that party exp adjustment to come to GMS.

TLX Wrote:What is your problem? You act like everyone who buys leech deserves to be punished. If you don't want to buy leech, then don't. Stop complaining when others buy it; it is not up to you to tell others what they can or cannot buy.

I have no problems at all, I am just making fun of Nexon for this particular event at how it coincidentally helps leechers. I really do not care about leechers or what they do at all, and I intended to have a level of levity in that post. I am sorry if it came off as if I said that leechers are human waste and should all be banned, because that was not my intention. After all, we never did have official word from Nexon about leeching.

And I do have a valid personal reason for complaining about others buying, but stating that would be throwing more fuel to this fire that I have unintentionally started, so I will not.

Once again, I apologise for the misunderstanding and the unintentional responses that came.

That is rather obvious: If you don't want to leech, it will take longer to get to 4th job.

So if you want to be the first level 200 aran, you'll probably want to consider leeching. And why not? Nexon says it is legit.

Example: Say you train at snails, while someone else trains at skeles. They will level 1000x faster than you and spend way less time and effort. But, do you have the right to say they are being lazy? No; it is not breaking any rules. So why then, is leeching any different?

If you think leechers get such a huge advantage, why not join them? It's legal.

Cygnus rankings have been in random order for quite a while. There is no "#1".

How would a beginner count? No one is going to take a 17x beginner to HT instead of a 16x useful job.

So if there are so many people leeching adventurers to 200, why don't you name one? I doubt that more than 5 people leeched to 200 without training, if any at all. And none of them would be in the top 10.

Oh, and how come all these claims disprove each other? So this beginner has been leeching since 4th job was out, yet a pirate leeched to 200 in 7 months? BS, that pirate did not leech a majority of their levels.

Oh, I guess every new player gets 50bil when they make a new character these days. What is the difference between wasting time training and wasting time earning mesos to buy leech?

Milelke Wrote:Leechers DO mess up the ranking.
I have yet to hear a true story of someone leeching to 200 without training. A few lies about a pirate that supposedly did it, but lies don't count.

Milelke Wrote:They DO cause inflation and deflation
Did you make a typo or what? Inflation and deflation at the same time would cancel each other out.

Common sense says buying leech causes deflation. Less money in the hands of leech buyers = they have less to spend on equips = equip prices fall.

If the person trained instead of buying leech, they would have much more mesos to spend on equips.

After reading the response to my question and the fact that he suggested I join being leeched in order to make myself have more social status in the game, I agree with Zach. Please lock this thread my good mods. Tongue
