FYI i am a biologist so i am not some random child, i actually know what i am talking about A fetus is not not human life, it is potential human life. Until a fetus can live outside of the mother's womb, or similar machines, it is not a human, but rather part of the woman. There's no laws against cutting off my own thumb, so why would there be laws against removing part of a woman's body, since it can't live on it's own out side of the body. A debate about when life is defined could go on for a while, so let's skip that. Various groups view the time when 'life' is present differently, but since a majority of people advocating Life at conception lack any education or scientific evidence to support their claims, the legal cut off is set back to a point most people can agree when life is present. No one is forcing you to have an abortion before that. If you have reason to not have one after conception, then you have the right to not have an abortion. You don't have the right to tell others your definition of life is the one and true definition, and that they have to obey your moral standards. You control/have rights over your body, not your neighbors, not your daughters, not your friends. Yours. No one else's.

Hazzy Wrote:A fetus is not not human life, it is potential human life. this fetus is a completely different person than the mother, it has a different genetic makeup and it is not a part of the mother. it is not a thunb or a leg, it is a living thing. and saying that those that support life at conception have no education makes you quite an ignoramus. here are some uneducated people magical wiki Wrote:Hippocrates and the Pythagoreans stated that fertilization marked the beginning of a human life, and that the human soul was created at the time of fertilization. moar wiki Wrote:Fertilization is the fusing of the gametes, that is a sperm cell and an ovum (egg cell), to form a zygote. At this point, the zygote is genetically unique from either of its parents. Many members of the medical community accept fertilization as the point at which life begins. Dr. Bradley M. Patten from the University of Michigan wrote in Human Embryology that the union of the sperm and the ovum initiates the life of a new individual beginning a new individual life history. In the standard college text book Psychology and Life, Dr. Floyd L. Ruch wrote At the time of conception, two living germ cellsthe sperm from the father and the egg, or ovum, from the motherunite to produce a new individual. Dr. Herbert Ratner wrote that It is now of unquestionable certainty that a human being comes into existence precisely at the moment when the sperm combines with the egg. This certain knowledge, Ratner says, comes from the study of genetics. At fertilization, all of the genetic characteristics, such as the color of the eyes, are laid down determinatively. James C. G. Conniff noted the prevalence of the above views in a study published by the New York Times Magazine in which he wrote, At that moment conception takes place and, scientists generally agree, a new life beginssilent, secret, unknown. damn those stupid doctors and biologist. LAW IS NOT SCIENCE.

I never said "all anti abortionist are uneducated", I said a majority base their belief from the Church, and not scientific facts. So I'll say it again. Doesn't matter if a fetus is "alive" or not, the woman pays the price of it's birth, and thus has the right to say "no, gtho of me" in the same way they have the right of go to the doctor and say "Get this tapeworm out of my body". I liked the abortion in District 9.
Pulls the plug. "Congrats on your first abortion!" XBish Wrote:nice, a human life and a tapeworm have the same value in your eyes. i guess thats all we need to know. There's a difference between being able to physically develop outside of the womb, and fend for one's self. A premature baby can live outside the womb with proper care, but a zygote cannot. Abortion to me is a woman's choice. It's only the law that gets in the way. A human life to me starts with the pencil-dot shape we begin with, our little seed. It has all the right materials to grow into a full human being, but some choose to not think of a plant as a seed but more of what it is when it's formed, something that actually comes out of the ground. To me, the seed is still a plant, and it should have the right to grow into the thing it deserves to be. It just needs some water, some sunshine, and some protection <3
And as for comics, I ACTUALLY MADE THIS.
