kMS exp formula

Yes, interfering with players gameplay because they may play a way another doesn't like is worth ruining the purpose of friendly grinding in this game?

Or yes that is what the REAL question is? o.0

Ok, here's the proof. I went to boars on my Aran with another Aran.
I was lv28, he was lv33 right in rage for "leech" level.

 My EXP without him there

My EXP with him there in my party

 EXP from his kill

Proof enough?
Unless you get 8 EXP leeching from boars in gMS too.

I believe GMS would be 15 (his) and 23-24 (your) kills I'm not sure whose exp gets rounded down.

Looks like they just shifted the split
old: 80% shared based on level
new: 40% shared based on level
The rest depends on who kills it (ie. 60% in KMS, 20% in GMS)

Can't see the level of the party member in the other pic, but extrapolating from the exp gained it should be 71 or 72.

If this is right it just means they've cut leeching exp in half, unless there are new rules for when you can gain exp (like if you're afk you don' get exp, that would change things).

soo other than the change of the "exp formula", i remember reading something about changes to Holy Symbol. Anyone know exactly what the changes are? or if there are any changes to Holy Symbol at all?

Seems like roughly an 80/20 split there, and since your levels are so close, they did just cut leeching in half. 60% of the wild boar exp for your kill, 40% gets split among the party (between you two).

lolleechers.

Since I never leech and gain my levels the old fashioned and honest way this doesn't really affect me.

Just another punch to people who leech Tongue

It seems to me it doesn't hurt partying much. you get more exp for your kills, less for the other persons, so as long as you kill at the same rate nothing changes.

So it stops slackers in parties too. yay

I think that we will be getting this formula. For one thing, Nexon just likes to copy pasta, so they'll probably just throw this in. Even from the view that nexon only does things to make more money, stopping leeching makes sense. If they want people to buy 2x cards, they have to buy more if they have a slower exp rate, meaning they make more off of 2x.

OOH!! This formula looks so juicy; It seems it will really help training if you look at it from the perspective off a person in a good party... i suppose those with lazy ass team members may suffer but as long as you're in a well balenced party it seems ok..... though i do have a conceren about people who trian with mages.... i assume the person "training" with a mage will still benefit from this but you have to wonder will the mage suffer... then again they get plenty of EXP solo training so in retrospect it won't "hurt" them.... oh well i still wanna see this formula intiated

They need to get rid of the split like this and just do something like Trickster's most efficient system (no share, but the exp bonus increases for each member). Like, have the party bonus start at +10% and go up to maybe +30% in a party of 6. Stops leechers and promotes actual party training.

Only problem I can see is that you can still "leech" the exp boost (even if it's somewhat minimal) off of other members (like Archmages getting a free exp boost from having an HB mule). So yeah, it's not a perfect system, but it's not nearly as bad as the current system (especially if they don't go to TO's extreme and do 2.5x exp in a full, specialized party).

Maple already has this party bonus, and in fact, the percentages are actually exactly the ones you stated.

Huh. I thought it was +10% at all times when you had 2 or more people in a party.

Well, its limited in a couple ways
1) no more than 110% of base exp from any monster
2) every player has to be within leech level in order for the bonus to count them (so HB mules don't add +5% exp).

Oh, okay. Well then all they need to do is remove sharing and maybe bump up the bonus a little more with more party members.

Chances are that'll never happen though; the KMS formula will kill off a lot of the players, and having no sharing at all would kill even off even more.

If sharing less party exp forces you to quit then ... :| Maybe you weren't really playing.
