I don't know about you, but chatting is more than half the fun of Maplestory.

This is a wonderful idea, and I'm sure there are some innovative ways of using this. For example, people who use more than 5 @'s should be blocked for like 5 minutes. Repeating the same lines more than three times should be blocked for a minute or so. And so on. I also hope that you'll be banned from Smegas...

I think this would either be a bandaid effort to cover up their lack of enforcement of the Illegal IGNs rule, or to make you suffer before finally deleting that character.

And we should all hope that no one is desperate enough to hack a GM to do this to people on GMS or EMS...

The chat bans would be great for the FM spammers. They get one line out and are then banned from advertising.

99% sure 2018 isn't a typo. It's just a ridiculous number that's supposed to be longer than Maple's expected life.
