i'm with loose on the sea part. there is rarely much extra thrown into a world map since they are used to navigate the continent, but the water here takes up a good 1/4 of the map. kinda makes you wonder whats in there O_o

They can just say, "screw it" and do this:
I forgot about Bigger Ben, probably have that to the left of New Leaf City, above Meso Gears.

I don't know why, but I think that if Krakia has a boss, it'll be called Concrete Kong and will look like a Cyborg Gorilla.
There's just a large ass patch of water there and I don't think it's there for nothing. I'm willing to bet there's probably going to be an Aqua Road-like place there.

didnt someone ask about getting there from aqua road in the most recent Q/A? he said something to the effect of "they were looking into ways to get there and trying to make them interesting/memorable" which i noted didnt mean that it wasnt going to happen or wasnt the correct location, but didnt say yes it was going to be that either. who knows? guess we'll find out eventually

The thing is, each area that MS has out (in general) has something different and unique about it. I wouldnt see that giant patch of water as an aqua road extension but rather as a unique area with perhaps twists to the swimming/losing hp in water attributes.
As for Crimsonwood, I'd say its off to the far left, where the only way to it is through the mansion. Looking at the map, I wonder if they'll ever connect the mansion to form a circular map like thing (Im bad at describing >_>).

You mean like this?
I really do think there might be an Aqua Road-like area though. Sticking with the theme of Myths and such, probably something like Atlantis?

If I understood correctly, that means Masteria is in one of the areas circled in blue, most likely.

I really doubt Masteria is on the current world map. After all, we obviously haven't seen the entire Maple World yet, so Masteria could be taking up a large portion of the opposite hemisphere.

I just thought of something...The name of that map is "Maple World"...Well what if there is another world? So maybe there is a whole new world such as the "Versal World"?

ive been thinking about that quite a bit, i cant wait to see how they expand masteria and all its referenced parts in the next year or so. it has potential to be epic.
and maybe its just me, but the map they released with the npc's on it (the one that was leaked) looks like a travel map to me, one you would use to get to ck, or something of the like. also notice the castle is on a mountain in the background, which makes me think its probly gonna be in the very top left of the map, where the mountains and clouds and stuff are. i could obviously be very wrong but the mountains in the middle look too clear, and not shrouded like the ck background suggests. so i guess we'll see either way

I think it is. Or the entrance to the place where Horntail's at.

Wait, wait, wait. Did anyone position "Vineland" in their made-up maps?

I'm thinking if it was on the World Map, it would be above Leafre...
If you look closely under the Masteria map, there's a small stretch of land stretching out before the sea.
