Monster Book Boss Card Costs

Just a little math for those curious:

30 cards for 115,800 leaves.

To collect all 30 requires one to minimally gather 115,800/40 = 2,895 leaves/day from day 1. If you only started NOW, that's 115,800/37 =3,130 leaves/day.

Also, I sure hope that this event will cut down on people hunting area bosses, since I know some of them hunt them solely for their cards.

If you're actually collecting, then NO MATTER WHAT you should be getting full sets of the PQ bosses before doing anything else. That's 25 cards/days.

I'm going for one of each PQ boss, then probably get up to #3 for them all, then #4 for them all, and finally the 5th.

Imo, even though it's nice to have different types, the impossiblity of getting PQ cards over level 100 makes getting medals on all 5 types a much higher priority than getting a fully coloured page.

What about the Ellin Forest PQ boss?

I think they'll figure something out for the Poison Golem card. Tienk is sticking around so maybe they'll make an event with him and etc's or something if they don't bring back this event.

Also, Xakris, you said +5 Snowman but I'm not sure if you're making the same mistake that I was earlier.

Kid Snowman is not Snowman. The Snowman shown in there is the El Nath area boss, who is readily available... forever, making him not a priority.

How easily does Ergoth's card drop? If it's a pain in the ass to find, I think I'm going to make that one a priority to purchase along with the PQ bosses.

Also, I've been thinking of using this event as a way to earn limited 8x drop time (Boss Monster Card + 2x Drop card + 2x drop entitlement). I did the same thing whenever I earned a card from Pianus, and it got me most of the deep-water monster cards easily. Manon/Griffy cards would seem to work great to get Beetles/Rash/Hobie/etc out of the way for example, especially since it's fairly quick to travel there from Lith.

Fixed first of all. And no, not yet at least.

Yeah, none of the Zipangu (Mushroom Shrine, Showa) mobs currently drop cards in GlobalMS. But I have seen JMS players with the cards, so hopefully they get added to GMS soon.
