I had a dream that there were four parts to this GMS exclusive content.
The first was an Amoria revamp.
The second, we had to wait until Oct. 2nd or 3rd for a Masteria change.
I don't remember the others.

And I just had a dream that it was just the Unwelcomed Guest stuff, but with a different storyline, different items, and different name. But, essentially, it was the same thing.

I had a dream... the patch consist that Nexon is fixing the hacks but banned all the maplers and you need to pay 1 Nx per Day played in the game in order to recover you account or pay 50000000000 Nx to create a new account.

We haven't really heard anything from nexon about masteria in such a long time. I look at this thread and see myself 2 years ago fighting the near exact same question! Why do you guys still hope so much?? You can't stop wanting it, and when you get crushed by nexon, you complain. Then another exclusive content is hinted, and the cycle goes around again!
Exactly, I don't see why people need the 'Masteria' tag attached to the exclusive content. They could essentially release anything exclusive and slap it down on the Masteria content, and people would foam at the mouth over it. Our current Masteria content is very poorly designed. The maps are awkward, the quests drop rates are obscene, the spawn of some of the monsters needed to be killed for the quests is obscene. The only reason people idolize it so much is because of the unheard of EXP rates. I'm sure if they made the rates on par with the Korean content, people would no longer flock there, except for perhaps the decent quest rewards.

Ok, so I take it you've never read a single quest.

Oh, I've read them.
A movie with a well-written storyline that is poorly executed is still a bad movie.

Except in this case it's basically a radio drama because of how limited the game is.

You forgot that right now no one does go to Masteria outside of Jesters. Lets see what else is good..great stories, mpas are pretty cool, CWKPQ has some damn nice pomegranate attached to it. The bosses are fun to fight. As to why we slap Masteria with exclusive content? Gee I don't know maybe because Masteria IS GMS? It was our first Exclusive content and no matter how hopeless it seems everyone, even our pessimistic friend Bomber, all have hope that one day maybe just one day, it could return.

You forgot the cheap and amazing potions that you can buy by the thousands. Not only are they better than the "free" potions that you can make from Alchemy, you can buy massive amounts of them for maybe a little more than what you would pay for a worse potion. I can deal with not leveling at Masteria, but if i didn't have those potions or the CWKPQ, I'd still be stuck with a spiegelmann's necklace, melting cheeses, and red bean sundaes.

I'm not sure I follow your analogy. A radio drama is devoid of a visual component. Maplestory is not limited in that way.
Let me put it this way, I suppose. There are several main things that constitute well-designed content in my book (I will denote those Masteria fits the bill for):
-Well-written storyline [X]
-Good quest design (drop rates proportional to reward; monster spawn proportional to drop rates/amount of items needed to complete quest) [ ]
-Map design that isn't clunky [ ]
-Aesthetic artwork [X] (I'm giving it the benefit of a doubt)
-Reasonable EXP Rates [X]
Ideally, content should fit all of those. That isn't to say that the Korean content is perfect, though. Chryse only has aesthetic artwork. The entire area minus the artwork is an abomination to this game. I never plan on revisiting it. Ariant, on the other hand, among a few other areas that come to mind, have perfect scores. Now, if Nexon would polish up Masteria's maps and quest design, it would be great. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened yet.

Jewelcrafting for your pendants. Or perhaps the one you can get from PvP. I will admit that I blindly submit to Nexon Korea, because I feel like they know what they are doing in terms of running the game. They must have a reason for not including potions that game-breaking.

How are a couple potions/1 NPC that ruin 1/3 of a whole new system a good thing?
Im with AltCtrlDlt on this. Masteria is not the great thing everyone makes it seem to be. The best thing about it is the music, followed by the quests (which other than the deputy star and the GFA from Jack give no good rewards) but it has many flaws, like the shape of the maps which are not well designed (NLC town is ugly and the design for most of the surrounding maps is bad for training). Some monsters don't integrate well with the rest of the content (obvious examples: voodos and hoodos, the old wind raiders and jesters which would kill any other training spots in a range of 20 lvls around them at their respective times) and to finish, CWKPQ, which they tried so hard to keep it as a challenge through other means other than DMG and ended up turning into the easiest PQ with the best rewards.
For me I believe masteria should be revamped before we get any expansion to it

With the current value of mesos in this game, I don't think anyone cares anymore about the prices of potions since getting 100m is a joke...

I've only ever had 100 mil, so a couple of mil on pots is a lot for me. It's much more a hassle to upgrade gear as well, which is why i'm happy to know people who boss that can get me into runs.

Say, guys, what do you think are the chances of Nexon opening up Tespia for whatever this is supposed to be?
If they don't open it up later this week, I'd be inclined to think that they either want to keep a secret for once and/or it's nothing that's really major at all (compared to, say, the Visitor Event last year).
Too bad they stopped making calendars, from the looks of it.

Yeah, too bad. I liked them, too.
Also, if they don't open it this week, it's safe to say they won't at all for this update (which is likely, since, very long ago, Prose said that Nexon wasn't really inclined to open Tespia rounds for exclusive content.. probably, they still haven't changed their mind about that).

If Tespia isn't opened again then it's unlikely it'll be a new PvP mode, whew.

There's no logic in this statement.
Nexon is far more concerned about protecting their IP than about testing to ensure it works properly regardless of what it is.

They've always opened Tespia for new stuff like that before, even Cake vs Pie. >.> I'm just saying it's likely they would that again, eheh.

This.
They want to make sure we get fully surprised. Bugs, glitches, crashes, unplayable designs, and all. They seem to think this is somehow better than the content leaking out a week early and creating extra hype (assuming it's good )
Well, it's not quite too late yet.

At this point I just hope it's something that will better my character without me having to use mesos. Cause I don't have any.
