 Season 3, Episode 3:Too Many Pinkie Pies

Well, no song for once. I'm glad.
To be honest, I could relate to this immensely. Too many things to do, too many friends, only 1 me. But holy crap...that's going overboard. It's a play on "what if you could clone yourself?". And I enjoyed it...though it got silly at some points. Overall, it was a giga mindflip.

-Rainbow Dash, you really need a person to just relax? You've brought the shipping upon you.

-TWILIGHT KILLED A BIRD. Oh wait it's just an orange bird now.
-Dashie beating a cloud with her tail like a rug.
-Pinkie. Stop breaking the speed limit.

-Limber Pinkie is limber.

-The clone seemed to be a giant exaggerated version of Pinkie. This isn't going to end well.

-So that's where the face came from. Hasbro was silly and combined 2 scenes.

Episode 3 once again is filled with plan craziness. This time however it's more adorable and less creepy. Well except for near the end when Twilight eliminated the clones one by one, and that one Pinkie making fingers. I can't help but feel there was an insane amount of fanservice in this episode, but it didn't distract from the fun watch. 11/10.

I don't know your concept of fanservice, since G3 Pinkie is anything BUT fanservice for the G3 or lower fanbase. If you're talking about the gags here, then EVERYTHING in this show to you is fanservice.

This episode is kinda underwhelming aside from a few gags.

I did like how Pinkie was thinking logically during the chaos. I thought Pinkie would be too melodramatic or silly in the situation at first, but the real Pinkie got depressed realizing that the ponies wouldn't know who's legit or not, and even smarten up by planning a test for herselves before Twilight can.

I felt there were quite a few subtle nods to fandom stuff, like one Pinkie giving herself faux fingers, watching paint dry is what Pinkie did in a rather well known fanfic, and defying the laws of physics and logic even more than before. Also nice callbacks on Rainbow Dash reading and Harry the bear. For me I liked the episode a lot if only for how whacky it got. It won't be long until people associate the Pinkie Clones with the birds from Finding Nemo.

While the hoof-fingers does remind of Lyra, I don't necessary think that's a nod. Same as the paint dry one, although I don't even know what the fanfic is. It's just like Zecora saying "Little Pip" in Luna Eclipsed, or crazy Pinkie Pie in "Party of One". A small group of writers given a period to write a script, versus thousands of us creating fanon every passing second, it's hard not to cross paths eventually. I'm not surprised if all the "references" of fanon in Season 3 are pure coincidence.

It's most likely because you expected Pinkie to cause more on-screen mayhem than just ruining a barn. Probably expected a huge explosion or something somewhere.

Now, Daniel Tosh is kind of an idiot in general, and his fans aren't anything to take seriously either. But you know, we're probably going to see a bit of the whole "All MLP fans are perverts" shtick for a few weeks.

Regardless, this is a rather controversial event. Obviously, there was explicit material shown on national Television, even if it did involve cartoon horses. He's gotten away with showing worse stuff on his show before.

Thoughts? Personally, I'm kind of indifferent to all this. There is NSFW art I've liked, but I'm not really on the extreme end of that spectrum. Either way, it'll be a fun couple of weeks.

Ironic, as I saw this post, I watched it on my DVR and it came up. I started to laugh uncontrollably. This is gonna blow faster than Howard's supposed rampant rage at us.
It's a honest mistake. Like how he did a offensive joke at this one lady during his tour and he caught a lot of heat. His show almost got canceled because of it.
