[CMST Spark Update]-Video Sharing
Polantaris Wrote:I just realized that the new EXP bar is going to be impossible to cover with the UI...

I frequently do that when grinding because otherwise I watch it like a hawk and it feels WAY slower than it is. The current one is barely coverable without using more than two UI elements...but now...ugh.

Use the quest tab? Leaves FULL transparency over my hp & mp.

Ugh, I hope GMS will just use the bottom bar from KMS. The inventory, stat and skill UIs are pretty good, but that bottom bar... ugh. I don't like the look of those thick HP/MP bars at all. Also, how does it even look for AB?

Regarding Strange Ocean... Ugh, those monster reskins look horrible (though I must say I like the purple Pianus for some reason). Also, it appears that you can't even swim.

It's comin....

I don't see any changes to the UI like Girasol said.

The only changes I can see is with the inventory UI the maple points icon is moved over, as well as no MTS button (which we no longer have). Oh, we can also move the Chat UI.

I quite like it.

ALSO I notice that we can hide the icons on the left of the screen, no more quest or event icons. YAY

I can't help but feel like Nexon is saying a very personal "pineapple You" to me with this weapon-based damage cap thing. I could hit close to 10m on bosses with Assassinate, if it weren't for the cap, and I use this:

Needless to say there's no way I'm spending hundreds of dollars buying, perfecting, and cubing a new weapon.

Yeah, whatever else there is about this update it's just overshadowed by how stupid this damage cap is, considering a large amount of classes can go well beyond the current cap without Empress or Fafnir weapons and some can cap with low-WA weapons.

Don't understand why they can't just leave the new cap as is.

I just realized why I hate the new UI. The functionality seems great, but the application is terrible (I believe someone already mentioned that). But on an aesthetic level, the thing about this UI is that it's chubby. BB and Unlimited essentially pared things down and made things sleek, consistent, and functional. Spark's UI ruined the first two. I was actually really hyped for Unlimited, since it gave a reasonable amount of power back to us poor non-NX players. This new update looks like it's just going to clog up my screen and turn my HP/MP bars into tootsie rolls.

I think the added hotkeys are nice. What we have now is only really good for main cooldown skills.

Also, if you have potion pot and just pay attention to what you get hit with i guess the HP bars being small doesn't matter as much.

Not sure how nice moving the chat around the screen will be though...sounds alright.

I love how the majority of people truly pissed about the cap changes are the funded people. Of course, I don't blame them though, but I hardly see any non-funded people pissed about.
(I know I'm going to get downvoted, but w/e)

Given that a lot of completely non-funded people don't have the means to reach the cap it's kind of a forgone conclusion, don't you think? More importantly, a change like this is a giant "Screw you" in the face of everyone that has spent a lot on weapons since the cap limit they're allowing is hardly reasonable and lots of people may have godly non-Empress or Fafnir weapons.

Then there's classes like MMs and ABs that are extremely hard-hitting, especially the former since you don't need godly funding to hit well past the damage cap.

That's what i thought too, All the tyrants and fafnir stuff will almost be wasted with 10 mil cap
the people who get really pineappled are people who use non emp stuff like ele staves and vip weapons

Well, I considered Unlimited to be a giant "Screw you" to non-funded people who liked to boss. I'm not hitting cap any time soon, but it could at least be extended to Sengoku Weapons and Estaves and the likes. Also, we have no idea what GMS is doing in terms of boss changes, so we'll have to see how that pans out.

Yeah, they could at least extend it to those weapons.

If it helps, Unlimited is a giant 'Screw you' to people that aren't super funded or I'm otherwise not using the right stick to gauge since the Phantom nerf just hit us when we hit Unlimited. The whole concept just seems dumb to me as people would need to upgrade anyway to deal a certain amount of damage and that includes plenty of things besides weapons, so why penalize them?

I do think the weapon cap should feature other weapons, or at least let other gear increase the cap as well, without it being a bonus potential. If only they thought this through.

I agree, but part of the problem is that some of those equips aren't KMS equips and would thus get the shaft by default. That's why I say it's better to scrap that idea altogether and make an automatic cap increase, it's the only way to not screw people over given how much each region's equips may differ.

I think it should be based on item level if anything. If you have a 120 weapon, you cap 2m, if 130, 3m, 140, 5m, 150, 10m, etc. Might make estaves OP for mages but oh well.

Increase damage cap for every level past 200.

There's your incentive to level.

That's definitely better than the 5M and 10M thing, but still has a lot of the same problems. A lot of people won't like their godly weapons becoming worthless overnight.

It'd be best to put it somewhere other than weapons I guess, and probably avoid putting it on equips altogether.
