Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread

That number of people I play with that don't last hit well blows my mind.

OMG Epic game
Our renek leaves 30 minuts in, but we still win because I was rammus. I continually created diversions by backdooring them, so they could't have more than 3 people teamfighting (I could win 1v1 with the turret hitting me) and when I was attacked I just powerballed outta there. At the end of the game my whole team was down but me and they had four up, and all they had left was their nexus turrets. So I walk in, kill the first one, and I get a triple from them suiciding into me while I hit and destroyed the second nexus turret. The last guy alive couldnt kill the super minions fast enough, so they kiled the nexus and we won.

TLDR
Bdoor rammus wins games.

Edit: Also, I smited the enemy WW Blue Buff. He wasn't happy.

Played a game with a Lux and a Nocturne (they were friends or something). I was playing Akali (I just bought her, and I kinda suck) but I was actually doing well for once. Lux was midding against Pantheon. She died. No sweat, accidents happen. Then she died again (how in the world does Lux lose to a Pantheon?) So Nocturne decided to switch with Lux. He also dies twice.

3 v 5 ftw. The Lux AND Nocturne both ragequit. Opponents kept on cursing at us and calling us noobs, despite the fact none of us have ever died and had 1-2 kills.

Just did 2 normal games with Amumu, both games i won, but i have a screenie for you guys from the second. Kind of wish i had opened LoL recorder so you could have watched, since it was pretty intense.

Our Zilean went mid and was generally unhelpful. He kept dying and ulting himself in teamfights when Irelia needed it much more. At 2 points he got caught and we had a 4v5 because Ashe was off farming and we lost both of those (Ashe would come in and the last second and die lol) In the end though we just pushed all their inhibs and they couldnt leave their base, and then minions did the rest.

Poppy ult is very annoying. Oh and Kennen was AP up until around the last 10 minutes where he sold everything and went AD..

I used to play as fiddle a lot, but not anymore.
People at my current level never push when I'm jungling

I once almost left a ezreal pushing aggresively because of a jungling fiddle, but once i notice it i just pushed like no tomorrow and killed him 2-3 times and escaped like 4 gank attempts XD.

I've lamented in the past that weekend LoL playing frequently goes very poorly for me, but luck was on my side today and the other teams got stuck with the people who had crappy lag and 4v5 and 3v5 situations (More than my team did at least). I did have to play a lot more Rammus than I wanted to though.

I'm madly in love with Corki and want to finish his rune page. Then I'd like to pick up another tank. Singed or Alistar maybe. Still in need of a melee and/or jungle, but I strongly suspect I'm straight-up bad at those characters.

If you want a melee/jungle i suggest Nocturne (Albeit you still need a little of skill and some timing mastery) or easydyr (Aka Udyr) as he is a easy melee that can stun in a short period of time compared to other classes.

Becoming a 24/7 Rammus fan eh?

Had a tough game earlier. It was Shaco, Master Yi, Soraka, Teemo, and Amumu. I was Amumu of course since everyone else locked. >_< We were against Shen, Corki, Ashe, Akali, and Lee Sin. So we were doing pretty well to start with with both top and bottom getting a few kills, then Shaco leaves saying something about his neighbor having an accident. So we're looking pretty screwed, but Master Yi was getting pretty fed by that point and the other team . . . well they didn't suck, but they weren't that intelligent. They had Shen pushing a tower, but then they'd lose a team fight vs me, Yi, and Soraka. I say the three of us because fucking Teemo was always off doing his own thing. He did pull of a backdoor inhib once, but most team fights he came in way too late to help, assuming he was even nearby to do so. Still, it was pretty epic seeing how a 3 v 4/5 could win if it was the right setup. We won mostly thanks to Yi backdooring/slaughtering them repeatedly. They even got baron and we still smoked them in a team fight. Can't beat holding them in place while Yi smacks them around after all. XP I know we would have lost vs a competent team, but it was still one of the more satisfying victories I've had in a while.

Lolz. ARAM is the only place where i could Dive alone on the middle of 4 champs(They all didn't have full hp mind you)+minions, Use Paranoia to land on the weaker one and kill him, then proceed to kill the other 3 (achiving a Quadra kill)+minions and still live to tell the tale. Also did i mention i was stuned for 1 sec while i was fighting? Also i was lvl 9-10 when i did that i think XD.

I like Rammus well enough. I play him and Corki the most with the occasional Lux Or Veigar. Just happened to play with a lot of instalocking squishies today.

@Dante, I did a few bot games with Noct while he was free and liked it. Didn't have a good chance to play him in a real game. I'm a bit wary of his squishyness. It's been a long-ass time since I played Yi but I was always very bad with him. Olaf, Udyr, and Renekton are all pretty solid looking choices I want to try.

Had a craptastic game with Amumu. 1-5-10. Died many times doing my tanking duty. Haven't had a game where I actually had a bad K/D ratio for some time.

But the upside to this is that this allowed my friend to carry by sniping off squishies and whatever he could get his hands on. Especially when we caught the other team at Baron (lolsuicide runs)

We still won anyways.

Do you ever have times where someone initiates and you go in tanking, and you end up tanking 5 people and the rest of your team run off and leave you to die :/ i had that yesterday and it irked me lol.

Oh yeah. All the time. My favorite is when we've been on the cusp of initiating, the other team overextends, so I start powerballing in from the side. Then the rest of my team continues to sit on their asses and I end up doing a drive-by where I just speed through the other team and nothing happens.

Maokai is oddly frightening to mid against as Corki. Far from impossible (missiles make everything better) but difficult. Tree-peach has staying power.
I've also had a problem since the middle of yesterday where I can't get the game results page to show. I always disconnect from PVP but has had no other lag/connection issues. It often results in a time script error game crash.

Ha ha. Same thing happened to me yesterday. We were exchanging blows and so I pinged and initiated with Cho'Gath. The whole enemy team focused me and spammed all of their stuns and crap on me. They were all nukers and killed me in like...5 seconds? However my team just twiddled their thumbs lol. Come on D=.

Saw this thread on the LoL subreddit, thought it was a nice question.

What have you guys improved on in your gameplay this week?

I've gotten much more willing to move about the map mid game and not sit with the "5 man push mid" mentality. This has translated to better farming with Corki and better ganking with Rammus.

Um...I died a lot and kind of fed with Kajiti's game. And I'm the tank. FML.
