Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion

It's tame when compared to other stuff, but for a Nintendo IP this is pretty creepy stuff. The atmosphere, the tense music, the idea itself. also keep in mind that when playing that game the player is playing mini-games on the game pad, increasing the suspense even more.

Some people wanted me to post this. This is how I'm personally doing it and I think it's the most optimal way. This is a way of unlocking all the characters in a fast manner. Make sure to play all classic mode matches on intensity 6.0 or higher. Don't want to be a scrub now. Also be sure to do it in order of top to bottom. I've spoilered it below because there are obviously some spoilers.

The reason why the Classic Mode unlock method was used rather than VS match is because through the use of the bug giving you guaranteed custom items/moves you could essentially take out two birds with one stone.

Note: This has only been verified in the Japanese version of the game. Overseas versions are expected to follow it though. There are some rumours and those are noted through the notes.

This leaves two characters, Wario and R.O.B.. Those are just 30 and 70 VS matches respectively. Should be easy to do by just playing the game.

R.O.B. has a rumour of being unlocked by playing with 6 different unlocked characters in Classic Mode. Wario has no such thing, its alternative lock method is through 100 Man Brawl.

Dr.Mario does not require any intensity. I was doing all my Classic Mode runs at 4.5 for a long time, and the only three characters I did not unlock without increasing it are Ganondorf, Bowser Jr., and ROB.

Ganondorf and Bowser Jr. require 6.0 or higher intensity. It's the intensity that allows Master Core to appear if you choose to fight both hands at once instead of just Master Hand, however both hands are not required to unlock any character.

I'm not so sure about either of those Jigglypuff requirements. I don't remember what exactly unlocked her for me, but I never used Charizard in Classic Mode. In fact, the only Pokemon I did use was Greninja and I unlocked her after. It may just be a usage requirement, and not Classic Mode. I honestly don't remember.

ROB requires Game and Watch on 6.0 or higher.

Meanwhile I'm just getting the digital copy. And since I work at 5AM that day and the eShop'll 99% likely be flooded at midnight anyway, I'll just wait until after work.

No problem. I definitely unlocked her way after I used Greninja. I barely touched any of the Pokemon at the time; I've never been that big of a fan of any of the returning ones that are in Smash 4 (except Jigglypuff, interestingly). She may be the requirement to use custom moves. I can't say for certain, but she may have been unlocked after I did a Smash Run with custom moves, but when I unlocked her I didn't really put any special circumstances together at the time, and it was over a week ago that I did it at this point. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Also, Wario may be Classic mode (any difficulty for sure) with Mario or Luigi. That's another one I didn't really connect at the time. To be honest, I unlocked every character except Ganondorf, ROB and Bowser Jr. in the first day I had the game, so a lot of the unlocks didn't really seem like I did anything major, they just happened and I didn't think about it.

ugghh dammit. I was going to buy this on opening day, but I just got laid off, so I can't afford to buy it anymore :/

This is the Orbital Gate stage. This is a Wii U version-exclusive stage reenacting Team Star Fox's defense of the Orbital Gate from an Aparoid missile attack.
Missiles are launched towards the Orbital Gate! The force field shields the machinery for a while, and the missiles eventually get shot down by team Star Fox. Overall, this stage feels like a ride. It's pretty hectic, so hold on tight!
The Arwings are passing through the gate! And the fighters hop on for a free ride!!
