How was your day?

Day off with the hubby. Rode on his new motorcycle (so much fun!) and hung out at Japantown together. Damn, nostalgia.

Had lunch at a ramen place, then poked around a couple of stores that had insanely cheap stuff. Then, crepes.

The furthest north I'll get will be Santa Barbara.

Though today was ridiculously long and trying, you know, I'm really not putting in the maximum effort I could be at work. So first thing tomorrow and from now on, one million percent. Not 90.

But the biggest little moments of my day? Helping my fashion director mentor find a little plastic bag to protect flowers from the rain, being told by one of the Assistant Managing Editors that I looked "dapper," and being told by the Style Director I looked "handsome."

Officially on summer break

Well this week ended in ridiculous upset. As I was getting ready to leave work yesterday at 4:30 I all of a sudden had massive pain in my lower back, and it hurt to walk/sit/move. Thankfully we were pretty much set for the day so my supervisor just said to go home, so I went downstairs and talked to one of Time Inc.'s doctors, who said I strained or pulled a muscle.

Long story short it's so bad. I sound like I'm 68 but it's seriously the worst pain I've ever had in my life, as in, like I said, moving anything below my abdomen down hurts. And considering my job is pretty physical and sprains/strains like these heal in different time periods for everyone, I'm really scared of how this will affect my internship. I hope that, at worst, I just miss Monday, which would still suck because they need me in early, but I'm really worried that it will affect me for much longer, incapacitating my birthday next weekend and potentially my internship as a whole.

Fingers crossed and, yes, prayers that I get better soon. Oye I hate this.

Got my roommate. Dude comes from California, looks extremely outgoing, pretty damm good looking, looks very friendly, seems like he goes out a lot.
