Dark Link Wrote:So how about that duping glitch? Apparently it was discovered at around 4:00 - 4:30pm PDT that you can dupe items through Wi-Fi / Local wireless. People over at lolFAQs are already crying about how the so-called "Economy" is / will be destroyed and the game's done and blah blah blah.

It does have somewhat of an econ. People running around giving out free golden axes and crowns can start to get bit irritating at times.

Just pray that nobody starts attempting to put rocks, houses, and "glitched" flowers in their inventory like they did in Wild World.

Why, what did it do in wild world? Besides that, even if people do start being idiots, just make sure you only invite people you trust over to your town. It's not like it matters, if someone wants to see your town but you don't want them to come over, you can always give them your dream code instead.

And I feel like you can probably trust everyone whose playing AC on southperry to not behave like a idiot and do damage to anyones town, so it should be alright here anyway.

I honestly wouldn't mind somebody stealing my rocks. Rolleyes

It became possible to add rocks to one's inventory, which by consequence meant that people were able to drop the rocks in front of critical places in other peoples' towns (say, your gates, which meant you'd never be able to play online on that save file again). If a player were to drop houses in another persons town, it ran the risk of corrupting the victim's savefile altogether.

This was also of course compounded by the millions of bells, rainbow feathers, and crowns floating around (all very valuable items) thanks to the editor, but the "seeds" were the real issue.

Woo finally added everyone in the list~
Took me a bit to get everyone.

So...sorry in advance for the noob question.
My 3DS is the first game system I've had that I've actually set up the online for, so how exactly do I use the online for Animal Crossing?

Any sort of resource either on-site or off-site would be greatly appreciated.

When you're in-game just talk to the monkey in the train station. You can visit other towns if their gates are open, or you can open your own to allow players into yours.

Cool. Thanks for the info.

Guess I'll open the gates after I make some progress on this .NET lab.

Hi there so I went to Re Tail to sell some clothing and accessories and furniture that I didn't want and they gave me over 200k. I'm really confused because I didn't pay that much for anything. Is that a glitch?

Each day they'll buy an item for double the original price. Sometimes the listed item is a specific item (Shark, Golden Stag, Peaches, etc), or a certain type of item (Beetles, Fish, etc). My guess is they were buying a certain set of furniture for double price.

Even then I can't think of any normal item that would sell for very much to build up to 200k. I've never seen furniture bought from Retail for even 2k I don't think.

I don't know if people are aware of this trick... but when you're going to the island by yourself, if you keep mashing A and B during Kapp'n's song, you'll cut him off, and he'll notice you're antsy. He'll stop singing, and you'll be taken to the island. Same applies when you're heading back.

I don't see how this proves you should skip them.

You've heard one Kapp'n song, you've heard them all.

You're saying that you don't mind Kapp'n farting when he takes you to and fro the island? He quite literally breaks wind in the first instance (noise and all).

(Also, I'm not being 100% serious with this. I don't even care if you don't want to skip; I'm not doing this to persuade anyone. Take it easy. Rolleyes)
